    Problems with the Showdown quest for culinarians

    This evening, my husband was working on Showdown, to make a piping hot crust. We have checked his rank, made sure he is in his proper job for this, he has the proper materials and is still not able to make this for some reason. The guides online do not mention of needing any shards or crystals to make this item...are we doing something wrong? Anyone else have this issue?

    Dont go through synthesize. You have to open the journal and open the quest and then you will have the option to make it.

    Yeah tried that. The only options I see on the Journal entry are Map, Abandon and Return. There is no option saying make it or commence or w/e. I have all the ingredients and am the proper level to make it unless the NPC wouldn't have given it to me I guess....

    LOL duh! Because you have to go to "Requested Items" To make it :P. Found the issue. I think my husband and I will have to have a long long /facepalm chat!

    What is weird though is I've done these quests before for other guilds and never have I had to open them like a leve...regardless, sorry for bothering the community with my dumb blonde question :P

    Edit:
    When I did open like a leve it said "The ingredients can be view from the journal" and then gave me the option of "requested recipe" to normal synth. I then selected the proper ingredients and made the item...

    How is it my other Guild Leves didn't do that to me, yet my husbands did? Makes no sense if you ask me, but w/e.

    did you do your other guild leves in the past? i think they changed it at some point

    Yeah a week or so ago I did guild leves for Armorers and Blacksmith and I didn't have to go through what my husband's character went through with his for the culinarians guild leve quest. When I did my guild quests, all I did was go grab the ingredients I had and did a regular synth and turned them in w/o having to go into menu, journal, or menu synth, requested recipe...etc.

    It was really fool proof until my husband ran into his last night, unless Showdown has some sort of part in the main scenario from the culinarians thing...or more to it than just a quest cause there was a short cutscene that happened when I turned in his recipe this morning, then it just said on the screen that "Showdown has been updated in Journal"...wish I would have known this cause now I am going to have to go onto youtube and find the CS for my hubbie >_<; so he can see it...blah hope someone has it posted.
