    Is the summer event in 1.18a?

    I've been hoping it is but have yet to see any confirmation that it will be in 1.18a, is there something I'm missing? You would think it would be mentioned in the 1.18a patch notes or at least have a lore snippet before it came out. I hope its coming out today in 1.18a because by the time the next patch rolls around it probably wont be summer anymore. Anyone have any information I'm missing?

    I think I read somewhere that should start in August so I believe it will. Unless they will start it like 31st haha.

    Well Yoshi's last letter at the end of July had the comment: "P.S. The swimsuits I mentioned last letter will be available as part of the summer event planned for early August. Sorry for the confusion!"

    So, unless there is another patch planned in the next week or so I think we may well get our swimsuits today. Wonder whether it will beat my star spangled subligar panties though..... /pose

    Well, I won't lie its partially that haha, but also I started XI many years ago during the summer event so it has always been a special event for me. I'm not getting my hopes up that I'll be able to go goldfish scooping or anything fancy like that, but I'm interested to see XIV's take on the sunbreeze festival.

    The summer event was "in" 1.18. They just have yet to start it. I think they were waiting until 1.18a so everyone could take proper screenshots without bulky weapons. It will most likely start in the next few days.

    Yeah I think Yoshi-P said "summer event slated for the beginning of August" so even though it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes, it's probably today.
