How do newly chreated characters / new players supposed to progress naturually

I don't see an issue here. At the moment once you're 50 you should climb the ilvl ladder via the dungeons and it's not even possible to get to coil/extremes right away.

HOWEVER in the df the extremes' ilvl requirements are WAY too low for general population. Tit EX is basically impossible in DF because someone always shows up undergeared.

"Current warped shape"? It was pretty much been warped from the get-go. I've been playing since ARR release, and while my progression was admittedly slow at first, by the time that I got to WP and AK I already recognized the drops there as being worthless. Philosophy Tomestones were easy to get, so why bother with the laughable ilvl 55 and ilvl 60 gear from those dungeons at all? And that's to say nothing of the ilvl 90 gear you could pick up every other week.

Post 50 gear progression has been out-of-control from the start. If, as people say, the game is now encouraging people to actually place a little value on those 55 and 60 pieces, it's a good thing.

I wouldn't say they're valued, the game just forces you to run those every dungeon (And all those defunct trials) once now, not necessarily for the gear but for the 1st time soldiery bonus.

got my second 50 a week ago and walked into ST around i70~

one week later (about 3 runs, got a little luck with mostly blm drops ill admit) i got the entire left side to i100... right side will take a little more time due to spending all my sold tombs on alex maps... so am i missing something here?

It's even easier for new people since they don't have to spend soldiery on books or maps, a new 50 can easily catch up in a matter of days.
