People under-appreciate the Patch Content so much is remarkable.

New Towers, Dungeons, Songs, Bosses, Vanity systems, Glamour systems, Raids, Hard modes, Extreme Modes, A FULL FLEDGED PVP SYSTEM and A NEW PVP MODE within 4 months, A new Job and class, A huge storyline connecting words, New mounts, new beast tribe areas, AN ENTIRE HUNT SYSTEM, and a HOUSING SYSTEM, and finally a plephera of bug fixes and quality of life changes.

These are ALL in patches. LOOK at the SIZE of the patch notes for every single patch FFXIV has, it takes an HOUR just to go through it all, it's like 15 pages long, and they do it ALL the time.

Some of you people here are a bunch of spoiled brats, who don't understand the amount of time the developers are putting into this game, just to make it the 2nd best MMO going right now.

Look at Diablo 3, and look how often they "patch" the game. Once every 6 months, with 1 new mode, and barely any new content. It's pathetic. Then they add a expansion with as much content as a NORMAL patch for FFXIV.

Oh and BTW, the "Cash shop" complaints. If that money helps the development of MORE content, for a few Vanilty items, then I will gladly donate my Working money towards making this game even better.

Not only that, I forgot about that fact they added a entire HOUSING system, + Individual Housing, + FC housing, as well. These are expansion type patches, these are not a NORMAL thing, and people cry about not being able to get them.

The Developers SPOIL the fan-base with the amount of content they add on a frequent basis, and so many of you want to complain.

Next time a patch hits, be thankful that the developers actually took time to listen to the requests of the fan-base, and built a game around the loyal fans of this great series.

People really don't realize how much time and money goes into games in general and think because they spend a days lunch money every month on a game that developers needs to cater to their every whim. It's a business, if the games not profitable their is no point in them continuing development or maintaining the data centers etc.

I think SE is doing a great job and look forward to playing the game for a long time to come.

Couldn't agree with ye more. People just want want want want and want with out thinking about the work that goes into it. What bugs me is when someone says, SE, just do this, it's not that hard. I've done abit of game making myself and damn just to make something seem so simple requires alot of work that goes into it that we don't see or think of.

Keep in mind a lot of the people on a forum like this are the hypervocal, obsessive minority who live and breathe the game, play for hours every day, and generally have warped ideas about things. The stuff that gets tossed around on here doesn't reflect the average player's experience or opinions.

Personally I think it's amazing how much new content and improvements have been poured into this game, so quickly. My hat is off to the development team.

This remains one of the core reasons why I hardly come to the forums... filled with whiners and spoiled brats who were never trained to say a simple "Thank you for the hardwork". Not to worry, the real world WILL educate them on this ettiqutte once they finally manage to crawl from their parents basements and understand life.

For starters I bought the new Sleipnir mount purely as a gesture of goodwill support for the development team... (the Coeurl mount amazingly continues to remain my favourite, with the Magitek a close second). Not to mention, we got a new job class... that alone is worth a thunderous applause. I dont even want to think about how many months of testing that the Devs had to do just to get the balancing right.

And the new storyline quests? They are thoroughly brilliant... well crafted, progressive stories, excellent characters that I can finally start identifying with... and an evolution of the charcetrs that we already know. BTW, Im thoroughly happy to understand what has been happening in Garlemand

So yeah, I completely agree... the little snots should at least learn to show at least a minimal amount of gratitude before whining AND whinging.

To be fair, D3 doesn't have monthly fees. That they bother to update the game at all is already great.

Regardless, I'm fine with the stuff that we get in FFXIV's patches.

If the people don't enjoy the original concept and dream of the developer, they can find another game to fulfill that dream.

I am engrossed in this world, and it's because of the developers vision and hard work.
