My plot is gone...?

Uh.... Take this with a lot of salt but wasn't there a system in place where, if you don't build a house on a plot in a certain period of time you automatically forfeit the plot?

Three days??? Seriously???

Shouldn't the damn game warn you about this? I even asked my FC and nobody told me my house would be gone in 3 days. All I knew is that if you didn't visit your house in like 1 month it was gone, but not freaking 3 days without prior warning. Honestly they should be more careful about stuff where so many millions of gil are involved, not like it has taken me 2 days to earn 5 million gil.

Anyway...I sent a ticket to the GM already.

Is there any policy with buying a plot and not purchasing a house on it for x amount of days? That'd be my first assumption, as seeing how it could cause players to buy a plot to reserve (or sell) for another player.

Edit: I wrote that before refreshing my page. Honestly I think it's a smart idea - if you have enough gil to buy a plot, you should have enough to purchase the house. I can totally understand SE not wanting you or others "reserving" their plots for future use, especially since the same practice coincide with RMT.

Where's this apparently secret policy though? Because nobody has warned me about this and I know a lot of people who owns a house and I've never seen anyone even talk about it. And even if there was this policy, shouldn't the game warn you beforehand? There was no message warning me that this would happen or else I would have obviously installed my house the same second I bought the plot.

No worries. I’m actually very happy that you didn’t lose your plot. I just bought a plot of my own and i would be devastated if i’d lose my plot after a few days. I need to collect 450k to get a permit, but that amount alone will take me several days to collect… (^_^; )

I was about to text a friend of mine about this, since he bought his plot a few days before i did and hasn’t placed a house on it.
