Piece By Piece

The crafting skill, Piece by Piece, isn't working properly.

Description: "Increases remaining progress by 1/3"

Issue: Intricate Silver Brocade, total progress 801.

801/3=267. Using piece by piece to start the synth gives only 264 progress.

That leaves 537 progress. 537/3=179. Piece by piece here gives 177.

That leaves 360 progress. 360/3=120. Piece by piece here gives 118.

I noticed that but it was too late and I failed the HQ Intricate Silver Brocade.

Well you're using piece by piece that's your problem right there.

joking aside

264/801 = .3296
177/537 = .3296
118/360 = .3278

seems like the game multiplies by the decimal .33 then rounds down to the nearest whole number. Wouldn't be surprised if this got binned working as intended and the tooltip changed to 33% instead of 1/3rd.

This is something that has appeared since 2.4, it worked as the description states last week

Just tested 445 progress recipe, first PbP was 148, now 146
