I dont think that will be possible
Sounds like you're screwed unfortunately. :S
The GMs always say to post here when they don't want to actually deal with your problem. It's their way of giving you the run-around, since you'll likely wind up arguing with people here (who have no ability to help you) and forget that they never actually did anything. Sorry, but it sounds like you're SOL on this one.
The GMs in this game rarely do anything, as far as I can tell, even when actual bugs are the culprit, or people are clearly cheating. When an FC rank promotion bug resulted in people stealing millions from FCs, they either ignored posts about it or blamed the victims. The bug still has not been fixed, and if you don't set up your FC ranks to account for it, people can still steal all the money/items in your company chest.

Sorry for going off topic, but may you share more info on the bug? I want to know so I can at least prepare for thatWhen an FC rank promotion bug resulted in people stealing millions from FCs, they either ignored posts about it or blamed the victims. If you have permission to promote in your FC, you can promote anyone to any rank except guildmaster regardless of your rank. Let's say your ranks were set up like this:You're an Officer in the guild (Rank 2). Amy is in your guild. Amy is a Recruiter. Amy does a great job of recruiting, so you decide you want to give her some more responsibility. You promote Amy to Rank 3 (Lieutenant) so she can promote other members (Rank 5) to the Recruiter rank (Rank 4). Amy has a friend, Bob. Amy invites Bob to the guild, then promotes him. Because there's no limit on how far someone can be promoted (with the exception that there can only be one guildmaster), Amy promotes Bob to Officer (Rank 2). Bob then takes all of the cash out of company chest and all the rare items out of the deposit only tab. Amy and Bob then leave your guild and find a new one to steal from.
- Rank 1: Guildmaster - all permissions
- Rank 2: Officer - all permissions (including full Company Chest access)
- Rank 3: Lieutenant - Chest Permissions: Gil: Deposit only, Tab3: Deposit only; Invite, promote
- Rank 4: Recruiter - Chest Permissions: Deposit only; Invite
- Rank 5: Member - Chest Permissions: Deposit only
This sort of thing has happened to so many guilds so many times. The real common time it happens is when two guilds merge, and officers from the merging guild are given promote permissions so they can rank up their members a bit, especially in guilds with tons of ranks. One of them decides they don't want to be part of the guild anymore post-merge, promotes a friend up to Rank 2, steals everything from the chest (which they weren't even given access to), and leaves.
The only true protection is to limit chest access to guild leader only, but that can be a problem if your leader goes MIA. The other option is to limit promote and chest access to the second highest rank, and only have the most trusted people in the guild be that rank. Never promote anyone new to it, ever.
More on topic - SE hates fixing obvious problems that invite people to be jerks to each other. They prefer victim blaming when these kinds of things happen. You made the mistake, so it's your fault, even if you didn't even know it was a mistake. It's less of a problem when you decide to stop caring about it :P

It's not a bug per-se. It just allows anyone with promotion powers to promote anyone higher than their rank.
The fact that a member is able to promote another member to a rank higher than their own is most definitely a bug. It's just a bug that they refuse to acknowledge/fix. Do your research and protect your FCs people, and remember, bigger is not always better. I know several people on my server who are members in FCs that have 200 or even 500 members and no one ever helps them with things. Yet my FC has like 25 people in it and we help everyone in any way we can, everyone has access to the chest tabs and crystals too.
What makes it even more better is that stupid feature they put in it now. If you're gone so many days the most active user gets promoted to MASTER. My FC(And House) was stolen from me and the GM's didn't do a gawd damn thing about it. This user didn't even play much and was not part of the FC(or House) upon making it. Booted me out and Stole my shite. Confronted the user for 2 days. Instead of giving me back my shite s/he decided to delete the Char', thus deleting the FC(and House). Out 4.85million of my own.
Thanks SE for putting in such a great feature with out putting in contingencies. I love you so much!!!
Now throws up!
BTW, unless they fixed that, Anyone with Promote powers could promote any user to MASTER. I complained about this last year. Search in the bug reports. It's there. So, this is nothing new and THEY KNOW ABOUT IT!!!

Assuming they don't fix it, I would just hold onto it, when the housing stock dries up someone might pay a little extra and take it off you.
