    Problem with DF

Hi, I'm sure other people have experienced this problem as well (ha.) but honestly I think something needs to be done about the fact that I've been waiting over 2 hours now for my Duty Finder to pop for a story-related dungeon.

Yeah Rogue is popular right now, but it's just not fair to the people wanting to level it to sit for over 2 hours while there's no real way to get any serious amount of EXP aside from leves and fates. Can something please be done to help boost exp while making dungeons plausible? I don't want to have to worry about queuing for hours to get my story done.

It will not get better till 3.0 sadly when a new Tank and hopefully healer is introduced.

Also bear in mind that a large number of people who have finished the main story already are messing with new content right now but will return to roulettes shortly which will help at least a little.

Party finder or ask help from FC members is the best way currently.

I don't want to be forced to level a class I don't like in order to progress in the story since a lot of stuff is barred behind it.

This is the first time posting and this is the only problem I seem to be having with this game. I love the graphics, the story and people playing. Nothing like the WoW fanatics who do their best to ruin the experience for new players. The people hear are nice, helpful and make the game enjoyable. The only flaw I've come across is the fact that we NEED to have dungeons in order to continue leveling our characters through the storyline. At this time, I've waited over 3+ hours to continue the story (on numerous instances) and cannot find anyone to complete the duty finder scenerios for new characters. I get there is a new expansion here and everyone wants to play a new class. I understand completely this affects the servers. However, unlike other MMo's, we are all currently paying a monthly fee to do nothing...

The fact of the matter is this.

EVERYONE is trying to level Rogue/Ninja. It's new, there's a lot of hype, and a lot of people are flooding low level areas with ONLY ninjas.

The vast majority of Tank/Healer folks are already at 50 and have absolutely no reason to run low level content.

So, to put numbers to it, let's say there are about 1000 players trying to level Rogue/Ninja at once. At the same time, 10 are leveling tanks and 15 are leveling healers. Because a party construction in DF for a dungeon must be 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 DPS, that means that only about 20 Rogues will get into Sastasha at a time while the other 980 have to wait their turn. It's not a software or hardware issue, it's the same issue that's been prevalent in the game since launch: Too many people would rather play DPS than Tank/Healer.

I play Warrior. I am proud to play Warrior. And by playing Warrior, my queues pop 100 times faster than they do when I choose to play Monk, which is also a job I love to play. That's because of the ratio of tanks to healers to DPS.

If you want things to pop faster, play a Tank/Healer or find a Tank/Healer to join you. Otherwise, you will have to wait your turn. Just remember that DF timers are about 90% reliant on the players queued, and if there aren't enough tanks and healers to go around, there's a good chance you're not getting in.

This same exact thing happened at the launch of 2.0. Because Arcanist was not a class option in 1.X, all the Legacy players were all like "ZOMG ARCANIST ZERG" across the whole field. The only reason the issue wasn't as visible as it is now was because, along with 2.0 came a flood of new players who wanted to play different classes, and thus there was enough variety for DF to work. But here, it's just a ton of people running Rogues and no one's willing to play Gladiator, Marauder, or Conjurer JUST to get through story content.

I mean, I get it. I want to level Rogue to 50 too. But when I see a swarm of, like, a hundred rogues fate farming outside of Aleport, I know that either I have to compete with ALL OF THAT, or I wait until the rush is over. Which could take as long as 2.5, but I'm a patient man.

Duty Finder queue times have been an issue for DPS since launch. All I can say is you will have to sit there and be patient for now. I know it sucks. Im in the same boat but once the thrill of the new sensation has worn off, people will disperse back to their various classes and the DF queue will improve.
I however, don't agree with the "well then play a tank or healer" argument. Once you've levelled those all that's left is DPS, so, I feel thats a bad argument to make here ^^; It was a poor idea to release only a single job because of what it has done to the queue. I can live with up to 30 mins in queue but 2-3 hours is ridiculous. I understand that its entirely based off of the specific players in the queue but I think Ninja just really made it worse since there is no other tank/heal job to help balance it out. They should have just held NIN until 3.0.

And yet SE is not caring and is going to let this problem persist, therefore pissing a lot of people off on their first playthrough and losing quite a few long term customers. Splendid idea not to have more than just Dungeons as a reliable source of EXP, because I just asked and no one in my FC is wanting to help me.

What could SE possibly do about this?
