Problem with DF

The queues issue can be "fixed" by entering with a healer or tanking friend, but there's plenty other ways to get exp:

- Use Duty Finder once a day for the Low Level and Guildhest Roulette (must be done solo. it sucks, but it's just once a day);
- Don't forget the 1-time bonus from completing guildhests as a class for the first time (can be done with a friend);
- Complete the hunting log;
- Leves;
- FATEs;
- All of the above done several times brings challenge log completion for whooping EXP rewards (don't forget to give commendations in duty, that rewards exp as well!).
- FC buffs, food, rest in your room when offline.

When you run out of all the above, I suggest you take a break and park your character for EXP rest. To grind restlessly only damages yourself and it certainly isn't SE's job to change the game because of player antics. Take it easy and you'll be 50, maybe later than obsessed racing players, but certainly less frustrated than them.

I'm surprised that you're surprised. But then again, it shouldn't be all too surprising.

A new class and job was just added, and it's a dps role. You want faster queues? Don't queue as a dps. If you're not understanding this simple logic, then I bid you good day.

I feel badly for new players right now, but honestly this problem is just a matter of bad timing. While DPS queues are never fun, normally on my server, DPS queues rarely lasted longer than thirty minutes. Now, they're so bad I've pretty much given up on leveling my DRG for the time being.

For new players just getting into the game, this has to be pretty frustrating if they decided to start the game off as a DPS class (and since folks luv them sum deeps, I'm guessing most do). Not a great way to say "Welcome to Eorzea!", but the problem will pass in due time.

Blaming the DF for a player congestion problem is the same a blaming the stop light for traffic congestion. You are waiting because the system need tanks and healers and you are not helping when you just sit and wait in the melee DPS queue.

Queues are horrible right now and I expect it will stay like this for atleast few months. I already leveled both tanks and healers, so the only role that I can level is dps and waiting 120 minutes just to do 30 min dungeon is a lil absurd.

I give up, I ran out of leves and that haulted my EXP gain, roaming parties of rogues and other people are spamming FATE's and crushing them before I can even get near them. I was in the DF for over 5 hours last night. You people mean to tell me that this is ok for a game to wait that long just to do a dungeon? That's insane and unreasonable, and should not be the case. There should be a reasonable method to level aside from expendable leve allowances and FATEs, because grinding mobs is just not going to work out very well. It's really bad if you can bypass that 5 hour wait time if you just have a friend or two who can roll as tank and healer, but alas my entire FC is doing the new content while their new members are stuck out in the cold.

I'm not dealing with this, video games are supposed to be fun, not mind boggling and stupid. This game isn't hard, the mechanics of Paladin and Gladiator are extremely simple, even my dumb ass can keep my people alive without a single blemish. But when it comes right down to it, other people can be stupid. You work your ever loving ass off on a class like Thaumaturge, only for the Rogue/Ninja spam to clog up your EXP. I am squishy, I can't do leves and my FC is too busy with their primal Ex fights.

Is this ok? People before you post keep in mind I'm driven on anger and estrogen right now, and you do not want me picking apart your comments. Is it ok that players are being cockblocked from story missions because of what class they pick? I wanna get into allied seals and whatnot, I wanna work to get my stuff, but how can I if I can't level at a reasonable rate? Leves start to BLOW

I had thought to just read back through and see what others had said, but this sums everything up perfectly. Before 2.4 the DF was sluggish for DPS, but it was tolerable. Now it is much worse since it was at launch, making it quite literally a slap in the face for anyone who doesn't have people they can form parties with, or in my instance, their play time is at odds with the server's peak time.

In short, NOT HAPPY SQUARE-ENIX.

If you want my advice I would find a different company. It's pretty bad that they are just doing the new content and ignoring new members.

I see no problems on leveling the new class, if you being helped by one or two friends on the missing healer or tank roles, so your queue time will be low. On the best, if you have enough friends willing to help, you can make light party straight away and make all run you needs to level up.

The "problem" is that too much players nowadays are lone wolves and does not have enough friends to even make a light party, or have friends that does not have the willing to help each other.

SE cannot do anything on the issue.
