About playing on PS3 with keyboard & mouse

What's up guys? A friend of mine wants to return to the game, but the fact that he has not a good pc to run it and he doesn't like to play with the mote and hotbar annoys him, so I want to ask if you can change the control scheme on ps3 and the hotbar to keyboard and mouse, same way you can change it in pc version. I really need a response because if he will pay the game he will do tomorrow and need a true response.

well, you can't change the control scheme on the PS3. but you CAN disable direct text input. in turn that will allow the keyboard normal function. and the mouse + keyboard will be fully functional. but cursor movement on the PS3 isn't very accurate. also it's been a long time since i played the game on PS3. so i am unsure if you can enable regular hotbars. i don't think you can use the cross-hotbar with a keyboard. if you can't enable regular hotbars, then i don't think it will be possible to play normally.

however, i do know for fact that the PS4 is fully capable of a keyboard + mouse setup.
