    Random little suggestion

    Random little suggestion
    As the title says,, i'm going to add some suggestion or ideas to help the improvement of the game, if u guys want to add some.. put the number,red color and say it :


    1- Please add more tabs to chat log, for the ppl who have more than 3 LS will suffer, so adding more tabs will make things tidier.

    2-Crafter's think crafting is boring because of the time they waste, so what's the solution to make it faster, I think to add an option to remove the crafting motion, for example., when u synth u do standard; your character moves and cut,hit,w/e ... so removing this action where u press standard *boom* ..next ... *bang*
    without moving.

    1. I wouldn't complain if they added more tabs but I most likely wouldn't use those extra tabs really.

    2. Sadly, you are terribly mistaken here. At least for me. I wish the solution to crafting was this simple but it isn't. I personally hate crafting because its very random, computer controlled, and unintuitive. In XI: I put the materials in and pressed "OK" to wait 2-3 seconds to get a random computer generated result. In XIV: I put the materials in, press "OK" and then have to press buttons for 60 seconds that in the end are only a time sink to prevent the inevitable random computer generated result. Why bother even trying to work with the synth if I'll get a similar success/fail ratio by spamming standard synthesis for hours as opposed to actually trying to do it correctly?

    The overall problem is: If the end result is going to be as simple as a random "success or fail" despite much skill or input on the player's part; don't make the synthesis take 30-60 seconds to work with. Its very frustrating to put a lot of effort into trying to succeed when ultimately it comes down to whether the computer feels like d*cking me or not.

    Don't get me wrong, I don't want XI's crafting system because I want a system that deviates away from the random "success or fail" value and puts more emphasis on the crafter's actual skill at playing the minigame. FFXIV's crafting system, however, does not fit that bill.

    I agree with Razor. I would love a crafting system that was more of a minigame and less of a coinflip.

    If it was a minigame, that would make it a crafting system worthy of the name Final Fantasy.

    you didnt understand me, maybe i didnt explain clearly..
    i didnt mean XI system at all. ... i was meaning that its still the same, standard/rapid/careful/wait ... BUT
    when u click on any action the character doesnt move to save time.. click click click done, next click click click done>>> you wont need to click and see the action over and over which is wasting of time>> i'm justing saying that IF they can make it as an On/Off config , for ppl who want to see his/her character muscle moves on every action done..

    edit: FFXIV synth result is TOTALLY random which depends on luck..
    480~ quality and result= NQ
    100- quality and result = +2
    i've seen these things happened before my eyes

    Lat I remembered, people in FFXI were frowned upon for having a plethora of LS's, though, this isn't FFXI, the behaviors from it in the nearish future will start to grow. (One pearl only) type of end game shell requirement.

    I think it's everywhere tbh. It's on Fabul too and we're a joke server. Extremely low population.

    Most LS request that you have only 1 event shell, but can have as many social shells as you like, which seems fair to me.

    It's on every server when people are trying to run end game in a serious manor. While our LS doesn't restrict you to one LS, we appreciate dedicated members who like to put their time into one shell and one family.

    @ OP, I don't think these are problem solvers, I Think these are more just small things you want.

    There are some major loyalty issues with players now a days. Seems like instead of wanting to build a good shell, they jump ship and run from LS to LS and try to leech from each LS as much as possible. If population drops for a week or two, they are gone in an instant.

    I can understand the need for a shell to do events and other miscellaneous stuff, but when you aren't willing to put effort into the LS (organizing events/other stuff), maybe the reason the LS is failing isn't because of everyone else, its because of players like YOU!

    I miss the old FFXI have a link shell maybe 2 for the life of your career.
