Just watched some T11-12 stream and while first phases seems rather straight it really start to get intense in final pahses(specially in T12), and to me it seems that communication plays even bigger role in there than on previous coils. +1 for SE making epic finale before expansion.
Final coil punishes mistakes. It's the only coil that buffs the boss if you die or screw up a mechanic. The mechanics aren't so bad but it demands perfection for 99% of the run.

If you look at WoW, for example, MMOs realistically have three content gates: time, gear, and bugs (ala C'thun). FFXIV doesn't have a time gate (all four bosses accessible on release); hasn't had a bug gate since Twin's tornadoes (and even that was doable); and doesn't have a gear gate because each Coil release has had simultaneous crafted gear you can quint-meld to be max-level equivalent (or better!).
FFXIV is pretty content-light as it is so time-gates would be awkward. I don't think anyone would seriously propose bug gates as a fix. I think they should stop releasing quint-meldable combat gear as it trivializes progression.
There really aren't alternative gates that can't be solved with enough raid-hours.
But aside from that, there's still a ton of people who haven't cleared t5 or t9 and the vast majority won't clear t13 pre-xpack. Complaining because the top 1% has cleared content is just ridiculously blind to context. Like saying basketball is too easy because Kobe scored 81 points in a game.
I wouldn't say FCoB is too easy. In almost every MMO raiders are slowed down by gear gating.
While this is true for FCoB as well... you can circumvent the gear gate with the new crafted gear.
This doesn't mean that FCoB is "too easy". It just means that raiders don't need to sit around for a few weeks farming gear from FCoB in order to pass the next gear gate to beat a fight.
If anyone thinks FCoB is too easy, feel free to start farming T13 now. It shouldn't be too much of a problem for you.
