Would it technically be considered Square-Enix property as the design is that of the Curtana they created?

If nothing else, I'll post the file I used to cut the pieces up for free so people can make their own!

Urge to Rage of Halone mounting....! Very cool indeed :3 I'm sure SE has copyrighted images and stuff of everything so I wouldn't try to sell them. They even tried to say in game videos shown online for info purposes would be violating the EULA but they have since back tracked on that.

I'm preparing for my final presentation which is this coming Friday so i probably won't be doing anything more on the project until the weekend.
I plan on painting it White/Blue/and Gold like the original source image, but I need to find the right paint for it still.

I'm not sure if I'll do another design after this one is done, but I may do something extra special for the next weapon I recreate!

Edit: Thanks for the info Alurwen. Yeah, I probably wouldn't try selling this.
I'll set up a file sharing link in the near future so others can download the CAD file I used to get it laser cut!
I hope someone will be able to make a version that's even cooler than the one I did!

If someone takes the file to a metal working shop and does something with it there, I'd love to see it!

Was there a way to smooth out the grip so that it is comfortable for your hand? Maybe you could wrap some cloth around it(with some wire braces to get the round shape), katana style to get a cylindrical shape?

Looks good! I wouldn't worry about selling it...unless you're mass producing it I doubt SE would make a deal out of it...if they even care.

I've never made anything for commissions before so I have no idea how to ship items and get payment haha

I thought about doing something like that! There is a Man at Arms episode where they make Sephiroth's Masamune, I was thinking of an end result like that!

I haven't made any progress on the sword yet due to university deadlines, but I'm hoping to pick it up again after December 4th or start a new project with something... heavier...
