Inventory filter please~

In most of modern offline game, your inventory menu isn't all look like long loot list of 100 items like this. I think the time process when I have to scroll up and down to find item is quite time consuming. The page by page jump doesn't help much either for those who aren't similar with how its sort.

I think instead of just "up and down scrolling" they could use "left and right" for item filter too. I think the filter that will suit into this game would be

"All"<->"Weapon and tools"<->"Gear and wear"<->"food and potions"<->"materials and repairs"<->"newly obtained item"

This will make it much easier to repair, to look for item to trade, to manage inventory, and to dumb newly found junks.

this would be logical

but this is SE. it took them over a month to get auto-sort. so asking them to do all that would prob take a year.

@Greed, but we usually don't use a list view that shows ten items at a time, including our gear and underwear.

Alise, I agree that the game pad method for navigating could be a little less cumbersome. Have we gotten used to this style? We have. But we feel there's room for improvement someday.

That seems really nice and organized, until you quickly have to clear out inventory room before your loot pool decides to regurgitate its entire contents. In that case, the single list is easier to quickly scroll through and assess what is important and what is not.
There's no real easy way to flip through the tabs currently either. Why doesn't left and right arrow (keyboard) or left and right dpad work for this?

just get rid of all those 1000s of crappy items no one wants and sell for 15gil at the npc. seriously i got all these veggies and I dont remember farming. I remember killing stuff. if people want veggies they should farm I am sick of a full list because of useless crap

Tab and shift tab moves you through tabs in menu's

i like the idea ... Most of RPJ's have tabs ... but not MMO...
so FFXIV would be the first
