To the OP I sympathize with you totally as I'm in sorta the same situation where do do life its impossible for me to fit into a raid static or commit to raids. Due to it I simply have to not raid. Its just something you have to be okay with because it is what it is and breaking into raids is something that does take time and dedication to do as it should be. Even with learning parties its still time and dedication invested to learn fights though be it a lot harder and longer due to the randomness in players vs a dedicated static where these people play together nightly and know each others strengths and weaknesses by heart. Very VERY rarely do players beat a raid on their first second or even third go. The difference being statics will stick it out and learn while PUG learning parties often fall apart.

I won't suggest what others have posted and start the same old song and dances. I'll just say it comes down to two things. Can time be made and set aside? If the answer is yes then their are options. If the answer is no then the cold truth of it is accepting its not something for the player. The game has a plethora of burst content to do in the meanwhile.

But there is plenty of evidence of shamelessly proud clear sellers even in this tread.

Nobody is making any assumptions about your motives. Your simple point only applies to you. The fact of the matter is that you don't speak for everyone else. The clear sellers comes here to harass and taunt people like the OP and then spread misinformation and misdirection and doing anything and everything toe make an extra gil. If anything they are over-representing the raiders and giving that group a bad name. To which you don't help, because you gladly take the position of apathy, indifference, and nonchalance. Some of which would say you are "complicit by your silence" (as in not speaking out against them or actively doing things to disrupt them), but I wouldn't go that far. Since it is game, and you do not have to do what you don't want to. But I would encourage those that have the experience help those who are learning, instead of treating newbies and newer players with contempt and doing everything you can to avoid them but gladly taking their gil.

So, my question for the community is... Is that it, then? If you can't go into Coil 3 nights or more a week, you're shut out?
It seems you actually answered to your own questions.
Though, even if I can totally understand your frustration, I still don't get why people still continue to post complains about how they re sad and not able to find/create a static with people of the same schedules as theirs... If you can't manage to get one, maybe it's because you don't have actually enough times to play hardcore-raids contents in a mmorpg? Then the answer is simple : don't? Because you can't o.o;; and find other motivations ingame.

And it's not even a matter of casual versus elite raiders people but more like a complain about the fact the guy don't have enough times to play and the fact that party finder sucks... But he still want to reach the Highest IG raid goals... And this thread got over 50 likes?... Woah. So basically, people who liked this, thinks that their subs is enough to get the perfect compromise over the hardest contents of the game and so, even if they have less than a couple of hours to play a week?

Duh. scob and fcob got created for a minority of players, that's the reason why it's only like 1-2% of the whole game contents, it's not meant for everyone.
People still don't understand that they can't have or do everything in a mmorpg, even though SE is making crazy efforts over patches to ease past contents on mechanics and adding echoes so even the lowest player can eventually clear it with some efforts over times.

To make it short : Please stop whining and enjoy the game at your own level.

And you doing what? Whining about their whining? People have the freedom of speech. The forums are here for them to express their frustration and protest the unethical behavior of clear sellers. There is nothing wrong with that.

I may not agree with your position, but I certainly don't tell you that you can't voice your opinion.

    This.

Not really a matter of whether you are god-like good or you suck. Whilst skill is important, "limited time" and "binding coil of bahamut" just don't come together.

The amount of times I've tried to help new players in a light hearted positive way and get totally ignored is disgusting. There have been some, albeit, that have taken advice and improved. But, more often than not it has been the opposite. So why bother trying to help players who have such a bad attitude that they are not, in any way receptie to tips and advice, no matter how it is given? Why should I waste my time and energy on 10 people before that one appears who is receptive to friendly guidance?

I always advise and teach by highlighting the positives first, then suggesting ways on how to improve on weaker aspects and point out what isn't working and why they need practice, then give them advice on how to. Even throw out some light hearted, off topic comments to keep it as it is, friendly.

Those who want to be helped will be more active in acquiring that, whether it's asking in party or using the myriads of guides available on the interwebz. Those who don't do not even read ability tool tips.

It's not on others to teach if they cannot make any effort whatsoever themselves.

Don't blame those who can teach, blame those who don't want to learn.

And this is why there should never be any major story content in raids.

I think it's fine. Adds more motivation, and increases the reward. The FMV for clearing T12 is amazing.

Also, given the story content, it doesn't make much sense for someone who doesn't raid to be in them. You aren't striking down powerful foes doing level 5 fates.

I fully agree. Make end-game raids have low level, side quest content. So that people have no obligation (aside from completionists) to go there.

to the guy that responded with some Lineage II comment to my last post... we essentially have terrible drop rates as it is. People go months without seeing a piece because we are locked out after we clear. I propose no lockout, tiered gear system where you don't need a static to do it all. That is in fact what the OP was asking about is it not?
