SE Please Stop. Dialogue that Presumes My Sexual Orientation Breaks Immersion.

The Duel Personalities Quest is the most recent example. Why is my female character dropping to one knee beside the NPC to check out the "Miqo'te beauties?" I was going to suggest different dialogue for male/female characters in these situations but I think that could still be an issue. Maybe we can find some other solution?

They're assuming that because you're a woman, you too will know beauty when you see it. They're asking for your professional opinion as a woman on whether those "Miqo'te beauties" are worthy.

Meh. Couldn't help thinking "heh no Shuu's not really the best judge here" during those scenes...and if I was in a better mood right now, I'd say I was chuckling in amusement... but I'm not, so can't say that. In all honesty though...it's tiring and it's not right either but at the same time it's just one more thing I've given up hopes about considering this game... :/

Maybe before getting different dialogue options we should get any dialogue options.

I just feel we could have almost the exact same dialogue but without my character looking like she wants to get in on the action LOL

This. Although I'm gay, in real life I can objectively look at a woman and think: wow, she's gorgeous - amazing figure, handsome face; a true beauty. There's absolutely no feelings after that. In reality, I think a lot of people of the same sex can say that about their own gender, without feeling alienated about it

I'm straight. But at no point does that deter my ability to say that I think a particular man is handsome or could be considered attractive in my opinion.
