In FFXI there were 2 fights against Bahamut - The Alliance version even had him summoning his 'lesser" wyrms to deal with before people got geared enough to do a zerg. So sadly, the only death of this because Yoshida doesn't want to "stress" the playerbase.Saw this on reddit http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps40b1c376.jpg
I can say I'm not entirely surprised, but I didn't think they would implement a "scaled down" version, that completely kills any possibility of a full alliance battle against the real thing
Well thats cool lol, but kinda what is with se and each final boss of each coil always flying.
Guess it looks more badass?
Haha and damnnnn there goes content for some raiders.
Done final coil in less than 1 week of release.
Didn't even need the new tome gear/ most of fcob drops.
Soooooo probs most statics will beat fcob in november, which means no content left till expansion! Where all ur gear is pointless cuz there will be better charity gear upon release. No point of gearing up cuz coil is done Xd.
Also ppl already clearing shiva ex soooo even less content.
Poor bahamut, should have been an epic boss fight in the expansion, cuz se might rework stuff etc and make this game better.
Well these people literally live in Eorzea for the week . 16 hours a day. Of course they gonna get through it in a week
Agreed, also throw SCoB Savage in the mix for people who cleared and FCoB is a pushover....BCoB = People had no idea of what to expect, new to mechanics
SCoB = People had an idea of what to expect.
FCoB = People have experience from both BCoB and SCoB, it obviously wont be as hard as the first two when you know more or less how the devs set difficulty here, as they will most likely reuse mechanics again.
It's common for content locusts to do this kind of content burning. Even more common if the group is jp as they're probably a bunch of NEET. Both types of people are likely people who poop sock and pee in bottles to maximize their time.
Shiva Ex isn't that hard. It just requires you to pay attention and know what to do during weapon swaps. Fun fight though, best of all primal fights I say.
Isn't this... incredibly lame?
He's so tiny.
Pretty sad they put Bahamut as the boss, I was looking forward to fighting him in some way in the main story line...seems my dream to fight bahamut won't come true because i am unable to do coil with my working hours. Se please just make a story mode coil of the turns where people can just experience the story while the mechanics arent as punishing and friendly and enjoy ourselves (some).
Not only the "scaled down" version is disappointing, it's yet another... circular boss arena. I simply don't understand SE's obsession with circular boss arenas. All of them look the same. Why?! Do they not have any ideas (doesn't have to be original) for other arena types? Every other MMO does something different for their raid bosses. Rift (before F2P) had some of my favorite fights ever. FFXIV has so much potential, but with SE treating raiders like second class citizens, I don't think we can expect much here. That looks like a midget Bahamut, even twintania's model was larger than this.
Lorewise, nothin wrong with the scaled down Bahamut. Oh rite, imma sure all the QQers skip all those quest dialogues and only aim for the lewtz
