Yes they can be sold on the market boards, I saw some up yesterday.

Oh really? I had no idea you had to have a lvl 50 craft to purchase them from the NPC. To be honest, getting at least 1 lvl 50 craft is so easy these days (especially if you use the new Ixali quests to lvl) it shouldn't be a problem. Regardless though, the markup on these items is insane and I can't believe people pay it.

Yeah, you can't even access them unless you complete two quests, both of which you to be a level 50 crafter.

Guess, I'll be asking FC members to help me, since I won't be ripped off by the MB prices.

    What a stupid statement.
English is not my first language. Eitherway it doesn't really matter at all, call it whatever you wish but I think that people who do it are rude and pathetic (Hey, just like scammers are ). Can't you find normal ways to make money than just abusing people's lack of knowledge? I understand reselling NPC items by a few gils, it does act as a tip instead of tracking an NPC. But selling for 100k what can be bought for 30k through NPC is pure pathetic and it just basically taking advantage by upsetting someone.

So scammer I guess not, but surely something else which includes someone's behind But if it makes you feel better - fine not scammer loool

I never did and don't fall for this trap though. (Got FFXIV DB thankfuly )

No, not really. That was intended as a joke.

That said, if someone is making money selling something overpriced and people are buying, I see no reason not to join in. When patch dropped I was one of the people crafting and selling HQ gear < level 10 for Rogues at high prices and the first hour they were flying off the shelves as fast as I could craft them. But people could have bought NQ versions or crafted HQ versions themselves if they'd put time and resources into crafting prior to then so buying was optional. Since players were paying 10-15k gil a pop for my HQ Hempen Saraouls and Tunics for their Rogues, I went the added step of crafting black dye and dying them first to give them more for their gil which none of the other crafters were doing. It's completely fair, they got to spend the time levelling the new class which I would have liked to have done... I spent the time making shirts and pants and used the 500k gil I made towards the house I bought.

No its just crappy act of taking advantage of a players lack of knowledge. Also I had no idea that an NPC in Uldal was selling it. SE did not fully explain where to purchase the set, SE did however explain where and who was selling the Invisible Jewelry in Mor Dhona . I thought it was a craft only item, I wasn't doing it out of convenience, I thought I was getting a good deal at something new.

But lesson learned in Buyer beware. It was my fault for not checking before I buy. The system is working as intended, Its just sad.

Here is a tip applicable to real life too. Don't buy if you don't know about it. Do your homework, do your research, then go get the item, be it a car, smartphones, or items in game. But people get lazy and get fooled just like the idiot that line up to get gold colored iPhoneys. "A fool and his money soon par" is how that saying goes right?

Whether is ethical or moral to take advantage of others lack of knowledge, that is a much more difficult discussion. Are we upset about the deception plays that win games, or wars? Was it ethical that Allied forces cracked the Warchmact engima code and used it to plant false information and used it to great advantage for D-Day? Then again I'd like to hope players in game should be nicer to each other, and wouldn't look to gauge each other, 2x pricing on some vanity item is really small fry. Consider people selling T6-T9 carrries for 60mil, that is really taking advantage of other player's lack of knowledge and sometimes that knowledge is not even about the fight itself but knowledge about networking and connections with other players to make said runs possible.
