Mastercraft desnyth rate down?

Has anyone notice since the last hotfix the rate of Mastercraft materia is down..

I think previously it was around the 10-20% mark but since the last update it drops less than 5% if at all.. Even Fieldcraft 3 drops very rarely now..

I guess they are forcing up prices because they want them to be rare to get the new items..

I get 2 masters and 2 FC3s from 7 specs. Yesterday I got 1 and 2 from 6. To put that into perspective, I had 3 failed reclaims from 6 this afternoon. Praise RNGesus!

Does anyone know if the Artisan Tools have a higher drop rate than the Artisan Specs for Mastercraft?

I'm aware Tools can drop up to 3-Mastercraft, but it would seem logical that Tools would have a higher % chance considering the "chance" to get 3 demimateria doesn't really make up for the fact that they cost 5 times as much as the Specs.

Also does anyone know if the Tools give more desynth increase than specs?

I'm just trying to gauge how lopsided they designed desynth in favor of GSM.

Holy crap 57 pairs! I have no idea how u guys stomach sitting through all that? Netflix + macros? Even then I can't sit still. 30 HQ relish and I'm already getting annoyed! Can't imagine 570 relish! Cudos to u on that one.

I have ~600 synths to make that I've been putting off till I get higher desynth skill. I'll have to keep track of how many I end up with to see what the %s is.

I gotta wonder what the going prices are for shards and mastercrafts on your server.
On Cactuar, shards are going for 70-97, and MC's have been slowly falling, from ~600k, to 500k in a week, and now 475k.
Its a good 25 shards to make 1 relish, 250 shards per Spec's, at a 12.5% rate thats 8 spec's for an MC, or 2000 shards, worth about 140k to 200k.
So if you farm all of your own tomatoes, and well, everything else, and just grind these things out with a magical 100% desynth success rate, it comes to a 130% profit...

And at about 90 seconds per synth, 80 tokens per MC, thats 120 minutes, for about 300k profit, so 150k an hour, at 100% desynth chance... Im sure there's less painful ways to make money. =)

I still need all my supras so this is my way to get the MC needed for those and as for prices I'm anal so I can pull them from my spreedsheet

So until the price of MC comes down to ~100k if I get one for every 10 glasses I'm still making gil off this.

and yes I have other ways to make gil I can macro synth 2 star food while I'm working since that rotation doesn't require food I normally make 2-300 black truffle risotto a week and sell them for 5-6.5k which is where the bulk of my gil has been going.

I just have a ton of tomatos from when I was farming them for my i70 tool (which I only used HQ). Apart from Bouillabaisse I don't really have a use for the tomatos (if the fish weren't so annoying to get I'd convert them all to Bouillabaisse)
