Players act like the i120-130 gear is easily accessible. The poetic gear is locked behind a weekly cap. It takes 3 months to cap a single job. Even the weapon requires a coil drop. The OP is a PLD and tanks don't get the poetic weapon item until the 5th or 6th clear assuming their group knows what they are doing.

Nexus weapons will be very relevant for the next couple months and by that time there will be another stage making them i120+

Well, my complaining aside - they can't be epic. The design is one of planned obsolescence with VERY quick turnover in gear. They really can't fit in a good quest because

1. It has to be doable in the small window where the weapon might be somewhat useful -and-
2. It can't be too lengthy or detailed, because it will be obsolete soon - so the investment has to be pretty much a form of controlled grinding to fit in with the overall theme of content

The overall game design just doesn't support anything too epic.

Just look at the magitek ironworks sword and then the curtana nexus, aesthetically laughable.

I'll give you another view, as a starter here. I haven't unlock any raid contents but I got my zenith and still working up for Novus. Poetic token is coming very slow from duty finder and hunts. Unlike those who already topping everything and running raids now and then.

Relic is perfect while I am still finishing the scenario.

Im pretty sure nextstep will come in 2.45 and it propably will match augmented ToP weapon(ilvl130)unless theres still more than one step after it(if i dont remember wrong there should be only 2 phases left according to that npc). So dont waste your ToP on weapons if you have Nexus atm.

Yes, but time is a factor here, if they do it late as they keep doing, it wont even be needed anymore. People already clearing T10 with I110/115 weapon from T9 or old currency. (so will my group)

Dungon = 50 Soldery and 40 Poetics, you need 4,500 for the book, and 30,000 for Alex. Base on that path, you would end with 27,600 Poetic total (Enough to gear up 9 class of I120) + 1 weapon each. OR you can do the 4,500 for book, and just do 1 roulette per day for 75 day long, in the end you be ready for 3.0 with your I110 weapon. then you can start the light farming (2000x) for i115.

No matter how you look at it, is monstrously wrong.

Relic isn't raid content, Allagan is. You want something better? Raid. Least the weapon is comparable (even better in certain stages, like prior to 2.4) for nothing more then some grinding. It will get an update, it always does. You would think you know this by now...

Could say same for Raid, is nothing more than wiping until you win it. Is even less productive, plus it help no one in the community, in other hand, the Relic help new player with dungeon, give a reason for materia to even exist.

So ya, unless you are pride of grinding WIPE, raiding is not even a challenge. Also, why this game have to be so focused on COIL RAID only.. i mean... wow... FF11 would have died so quick if "Dynamis" was the ONLY cool thing to do in the game.

Shhhh, don't remind them that FFXI had things this game doesn't, like actual hard content. The final coil raiders need to feel special atm.
