Sometimes I can but mostly the players that get drawn are in my immediate proximity or I've been standing on a crafter for 30 seconds before the 3d model gets drawn partly inside of me.

This isn't such a big deal in cities like Ul'dah or Gridania but on the field and in LL it's pretty bad.

It would be so cool if I could see a player I'm meeting up with on the bridge of LL from the second level of the town or see people walk around town. Usually when character models get drawn they're likely to be just running past you so the general sense is that I'm running in this weird ghost town.

It would make the gameplay on the field more interesting too. Following visually another player is a big gameplay element in many other games MMO or not but in XIV the characters disappear way too quickly for this mechanic to work.

It's probably due to the server issues XIV has had a lot because this almost never happens in XI except in the most crowded area where it takes a while to see everybody.

At first I thought it's me but after updating my internet connection to the highest speed the problem didn't change at all.

I think this issue should be pretty high on the list of things to solve because it affects a pretty large amount of the entire gameplay experience. Empty servers seem even more dead because of the ghostly way characters warp in and out of view.

Also I'm playing from Europe so on top of that this is the laggiest zone to play in based on what I hear on the forums.
