Is having your class in this game as important as it is for me?

I think I was a Monk for 2-3 months. It was a painful experience for me because I never liked Monk since the start; my first encounter with it was in Diablo III where I was certain that it was not a class I would ever like. However I decided to give it a go with FFXIV but still the same drill resulting to leaving. Thankfully Square Enix introduced my traditional class. Been waiting for Ninja for ages; having "my" class has been very important to me in all previous MMOrpgs; I could have the best MMOrpg out there but because it doesn't have what I want I would still quit after a while.

Are there any other classes you people are dying to have?

Musketeer. The class that should have been in game 4 years ago. The class a lot of us have been waiting for for four years. You know what we got instead?

    Rogue.

    We should have been first.

I don't know exactly because each game I've played a different role. In WOW I played warrior tank, DCUO I played sorcery healer, and on FFXIV I played dragoon. But good thing about this game is I can have my healer/tank fix without rolling another character

Mine changes from game to game, this is the first game that I have ever really enjoyed healing in though, it's a really nice change of pace for me, I was mostly either ranged or melee dps

The only thing consistent in every game I play is that I focus on crafting.

For battle, my class changes depending on the game.

I really liked beastmaster. Oooh or blue mage! I liked using special moves from mobs

Red Mage, but I'd probably be sick to my stomach if they did it anything like it was allowed to be in XI...

If I had to be perfectly honest, I would love a true, honest Support job. Not a healer, but a Support. Bard is way too focused on Ranged DPS and not focused enough on being a Support.

Something like Log Horizon's Enchanter class, but with better soloability.

Out of every jobs I can think of that could fulfill this role would be as follows:

-Bard (Reinvented as a Support, giving all the Ranged DPS attacks to Ranger)

-Mystic Knight (A swordsman that can enchant weapons with aether and even convert an enemy's offensive magic damage into MP regen)

-Dancer (A dagger-using job that uses the power of dance to spread around buffs and debuffs alike)

-Chemist (While it would very likely become a healer job, a Chemist is well known for its ability to mix potions together. In this way, it could be a great support job as well.)

-Oracle (A powerful spellcaster who foretells the fates of friends and foes alike. They use powerful spells that have a delayed activation, similar to "Doom".)

-Time Mage (A mage well versed in the manipulation of time and space. They can use powerful magic such as "Comet" and "Meteor", but they can also speed up allies and slow down (or even stop) enemies!)

-Mediator (A silver-tongued master of manipulation, the Mediator can temporarily convert enemies to the Mediator's cause and both encourage allies and discourage enemies alike.)

I'd be willing to play any of these.

RDM has always been a favorite of mine, so if they add that then I will be over the Dalamud. That being said, I am perfectly happy being a Summoner, and am looking forward to master every DPS and Healer class they add into the game! (Not Tank though... do not have the confidence in skill!)
