I'm posting here because I think this might be more appropriate then the general thread.

As you;re likely aware; when A Realm Reborn launched, player can change the macro's icon to any available skill (except pet skills I assume), However this icons has a "problem": The icons used would only display the icon itself, not the cooldown or point cost.

Sometime later SE fixed that by implementing /macroicon allowing you to use the icons displaying the cooldowns and cost.

However This system still has a few issues. For starters, Say you're using Phantom Dart for the icon because you though it looks cool, the icon itself would be darkened because most for the time (if not all of it) you're be in PvE.

Another example is using a skill that another class can't use for the icon (Like Swiftcast for Warrior for example). Becuase the job can;t use the skill, then the icon itself is also darkened

While the system does its job well for macros with a cooldown, it aesthetically leaves a lot to be desired for macros that do not have cooldowns (messaging macros and gearset macros,) So I'm suguessting

  • Add some sort of command or code that makes the icons look like the old version (permanently lit/no cooldown, no numbers)
  • If not that then at least allow people to change the gearset icons to skill icons
what do you think about these ideas?
