Well, aside from in-progress queue fishing, there IS one other situation the penalty is designed to prevent: Trolling. I know of occasions in which a tank or healer would spam the queue and withdraw, just to dick with people. Obviously, a fully-formed party isn't going to be able to troll anyone this way, but a partially formed party could.

The penalty system is a good one, and a stiff reminder to in-progress fishers that the Roulette system is not in place to benefit them, but rather the parties that they help to fill. They are being paid in bonus gil and tomestones to help a party out, and if the "employer" wants them to complete a full run, that's what they gotta do to earn their pay.

The entire system is just messed up. Hopefully they'll just come back on this choice and remove it soon. Simply add a join in party only filter instead to stop the need for people fishing in progress queues instead.

waste of time, you usually spend more time spamming for an instant queue than just playing the stupid dungeon. Not to mention, I wouldn't really call hitting "refresh" playing the game.

Besides, the absolute worst case for this is ST. But due to only having 3 tanks, the queue is never instant, and has been upwards of 30min for tanks at times. I also predominantly play the DRG now outside of preformed groups unless queue times are too high since I already have nexus on my WAR.

They didn't need to make it partywide but I don't want to ever see an "In Progress Only" filter. That will do nothing but exacerbate the queue problem as people start to ONLY do In Progress, pulling them out of the general queue pool.

I barely do DF on my PLD. I do it on my offclasses for leveling purposes. And get screwed over by the system whilst trying to do HQ crafts during the wait time. That for me is the reason why I want to see it thrown the heck out of the window.

It really should only affect the person that didn't click accept or clicked withdraw instead of the whole party. As always they didn't foresee a very obvious flaw in their system or they still think people are too innocent and would never troll with it, I mean it took them about a year to implement a Coil ready check after people were unwillingly skipping others into T5 and even other SCOB turns.
