    sukuchi ability

was messing around with this ability earlier and a few thing i've noticed about it.

    - in order to clear gaps (i.e. roof to roof on buildings and the such) you need to have the camera aligned with your character so it appears to be at eye lvl for success, otherwise you will almost always land in the gap you were trying to "ninja" across.

    - does not seem to have any vertical reach other than downwards (i.e. can't teleport to higher ground even if it is within the range limit of the ability)

    - when using a controller (ps3/ps4) all battle applications for this ability go out the window, the targeting for this imo seems too awkward and sluggish to actually get you out of a tight spot in an actual fight, you'll likely die if you tried. can't really say for pc if it'd be useful in battle to avoid an AoE or not, but would likely depend on very good reflexes and precision with the mouse.

while i do like this ability just for the whole ninja warp aspect of it, it seems rather limited and somewhat broken as it can really only be used on even surfaces or to drop to a lower altitude quickly. thoughts?

I think I remember in the job quest, it states that it can't be used to move to higher ground. But fights usually take place on level ground anyway, so this shouldn't be an issue, aside from teleporting for the sake of mobility/travel.

I have no problem using this on my PS4 controller on command. It's just a matter of placing it on a spot on the hotbar that you can quickly access without having to think about it (muscle memory). If you have your mouse targeting option turned on, you can use your right analog to control the cursor, and your left analog for moving your character. So I can easily be moving around and still target where I want to teleport without issue.

Having mained a SMN, I'm used to ground targeting.

There's definitely an adjustment period. Even with me going from PS3 -> PS4, the controller felt completely foreign to me for a while.

I use it more for getting back TO the boss after running to avoid AoE.
