    This is not an improvement. You might as well say people should not undercut below NPC prices, so if the NPC sells it, people must sell at NPC prices.... right...

    This totally not how a healthy market should work. Price controls does not work.

    The market board is a game in itself, and it is about being empowered through knowledge. There is a transactions history there for you look at too. Make use of that information, learn what the NPCs are selling and you will know when the price is right, too high or too low.

    Rip off can happen to both buyer and seller. You are only seeing this from a buyers perspective. There are many lazy seller who don't even look at the vendor price listed on the item and price stuff lower than that all the time. They are getting ripped off because they don't know and are not paying attention. If you set price controls, not only are you destroying the market, you are also taking the fun out of the trading game.
