What I see is that mobs loose aggro too easily. If only they could really engage you without letting you go, that would solve a lot of the ease of traveling through places.

But I mean more like they would cast slow on on you so you can't run away as fast.
most of them do, heavy is annoying, but it really is just that. it doesn't seem dangerous....i want to have to really think about traversing through the area before i do it. i'm not afraid of any place in the game.
I hate leashing in this game. Its far too short a range for this game and is not varied in its application to open world mobs. I'd rather have the open world contain a variety of mob behaviors. Make some leash and others not, with some more with a provoke or draw-in, and perhaps a few that use a distraction/status effect to run away.NO!
