Easy way to make FL or FL related PvP bearable

I think it would just be best to keep it Claws vs Fangs like in Wolves Den
depending on what server group most of FL is see which 2 teams can pick on 1 team better. at least for me i feel maybe 60% of the times its a 2v1

keeping it Claws and Fangs or w/e team name they would like to come up with in future pvp is best ... gives more options for future FL related PvP

also ... 50/50 chance to win with how ur just randomly put into a team each time
no faction blaming just regular player hating.

it also has the possibility of much faster Queue times since faction wouldn't matter

SE will never do anything like this because lore.

Maybe they might add another group PvP that is not GC-related.

I think the real failure here is that you can't keep your PvP rank when you switch GCs, so folks aren't too keen to switch GCs (usually). Perhaps intended? It might be nice if when matching people together, it tried to match together teams of roughly equivalent skill, but that would require rating players on something other than the "rank" which you have to grind mindlessly for a million years to get.

That all said, I don't find FL to be all that unbalanced in terms of this or that GC. Sometimes the people you're matched with are awful, sometimes they're not. People just need to learn how to play. I think the real problem is that FL is supposedly designed "for anyone to hop into and have fun" when in reality you better be good or else you're going to lose big time, so unless losing is fun (and losing really badly at that), then it's not as casual as one might think.

ah forgot to think a little farther ahead with the lore part :/

but still should keep Claws vs Fangs .... they managed to do a 2 team pvp of random people put in random teams .... just keep it that way is what my main point is.

You just have to keep playing. Once you understand how the PvP works you can lead your party to objectives and get the job done 1v2 GCs. I felt this way when I started 3 weeks ago, but now that I'm starting to understand it, the wins roll in very generously. Tying the PVP to GC I think is good for the larger scale PVP system because it brings a sense of pride. Go play frontlines for a month and you'll see the same people over and over, you start to know them, it's probably a more knit community than any other avenue of the game.

It's really about learning when to push advantages, knowing when you're outclassed so you take other objectives to spread the enemies thin. I think people gave up on PvP too soon, it's the most dynamic, unscripted, and most fun I've had with this game in the past year.

This was an issue in FFXI- eventually they updated it so that nation didn't matter and just balanced teams as best as they could. Lore as an excuse for not doing a fix is irrelevant. They can always add a new quest to explain it.
