WTB Dodore Doublet (Blue) - Let us dye our gear!

    Dodore Doublet (Blue)

    1 - Dodore Doublet
    1 - Bleaching Agent
1 - Sea Blue Cloth Dye

Who else would love to be able to dye or paint the gear you have another color to match your favorite outfit?

How about to make yourself a little more unique among the ocean of everyone else in identical gear?

I've always wished we were able to dye items ourselves, but I also understand that this gives a way for crafters to create specific colored items.

Maybe they could make it so certain dyes can be created that can only be applied after crafting? More richer colors, more subdued, etc. I absolutely love gear color customization in mmos, so I'll admit, I was a bit disappointed seeing how it's handled in FFXIV, but at the same time I also like how realistic the approach to crafting can be.

Still, if they gave us actual dyeing options in this game, I'd be very, very happy.

From an Alchemist point of view it'd be nice to have the synths only give 4 pots, this way the market isn't literally flooded in dye and paint.

But it'd be nice to change the color after it's been dyed also.

    Make your Typhoon sword blue!
Make your Flametongue Red or Yellow... even white?

Yeah =) I was hoping they could include an npc in every city that specifically handled coloring items. I'm not a high level crafter however, so I would understand if folks don't like the idea of being able to just change a colored item so easily.

Still, I'm always for anything that lets you make your character stand out a bit more or able to let you have that personal touch with their looks!

They should do something special for alchemy , its a beast to level if you arent a fisherman.

I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

Imagine how it was pre sp buff... I was the 3rd 50 alch on lindblum... I hit 50 with a 176 sp synth in like 4th degree fatigue.

All they'd have to do is make our synths give less product. Make glues and dyes give 4 per synth just like poison pots. That'll instantly increase our market value.

I wish they'd remove dying from Crafting and instead have it be something done AFTER its crafted.

Or have Materia have a hand in coloring the armor.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Agreed, Cairdeas! I just want the freedom of armor coloring you see in other games to be in FFXIV... the designs for our gear is really wonderful, but at the same time so limited in how we can get it to look, it's such a shame.

I'm not trying to start anything here since I'm planning on playing both this and GW2, but when I read the dye system post in that game, it made me really wish FFXIV would do the same : GW2 Dye System.

I'd love to see SE give us players more options to really customizing our character!

As a TAN I'm 100% in favor of this. You wouldn't believe how annoying it is to make differently colored finished items... I mean it's easy to get more money cause people will pay more for black or red leather than they would for ochre or green but meh, at least I wouldn't be stuck with the same color forever.

Red Solid scale mail would rock
