No I can't expect it, that's even more ridiculous but also more simple, in my opinion. Desynthesis is simple not popular, and perhaps you don't realize how much of a effect that has on the economy. And desynthesis has been devalued, you just haven't noticed.

And WHY should it be devalued just because, as you say, no one wants to do it? That is dumb. Sigh. If the materials cease to circulate then the price of items will go up and it will then promote the circulation of said items and WA-BAM your problem is solved. Scarcity breeds demand, my friend.

Mmm the scarcity comment isn't entirely true. It adds value, but it doesn't always add demand... at least not in this context. Think of rare pets that have been around for a while, just for example, and how they aren't exactly selling like hotcakes despite low stock. The higher the cost (due to added value), the less likely it is to sell... assuming it's out of the budget of the average player. Any demand that has increased as a result of scarcity is temporary here, as alternatives are generally going to be available for your goal result. Or perhaps the consumer just loses interest (as is often the case with things like rare pets).

I don't believe this should happen, at least for now, for the same reason you can't request crafts. It can break. Last I checked you cannot request an overmeld. You could argue you should be able to request desynths if they are 100% but you still end up with a random item. SE seems to be taking a strick full disclosure policy for system controlled player interactions.
