Hmm, first boss and last boss didn't seem too hard to me (last boss was hectic but fun to heal!) But I couldn't even count the number of times we wiped on the second boss.

I don't know exactly what our dps were doing, but we definitely tried ignoring adds through the gunshots but towards the end he still wouldn't stop shooting. Several thmes he shot the entire party to death because if his target dies while he's shooting, he just switches to someone else immediately.

Now I want to try with dps who claim not to have had any problems!

I'm glad that a "hard" dungeon is actually somewhat challenging. The fact that most "hard" dungeons are easier than their normal counterparts was quite sad.

I just ran it with another member of my FC and two PUGs-- first time through it for all of us. We one-shotted it without any issues. The only death in the entire thing was me being hit by a Tail Screw before we realized how that mechanic worked.

We actually had more trouble with the second boss in Qarn and wiped to that one a few times until we figured out a couple of key mechanics.

I can't even get in to any of them. Too many tanks and healers gone rogue.

So can someone list the mechanic of each bosses and how to encounter this? Rather not deal with a bunch of "deaths" and wipes and making a 30 mnts dungeon becoming 60-90 mnts long slog. Appreciate the tips in advance, and if you could be more specific.

As far as I know - Satasha Boss 1, he put debuff on 2-3 party members and sometimes 1-2 debuffs which is not that fast to remove before he hit them and kill any party member with it instantly. We are not talking you have very low hp and can recover, it's instant death. Removing one debuff on 2 party members is doable, more than that, one of them is going to die. This is a rather cheap stupid move from SE.

Satasha Boss 2, can anyone figure out the strategy? How to avoid being shackled - and pretty much zerged to death by adds? You cannot get rid of this status by esuna or anything. I had to keep on curing, regen and stoneskin myself just to be able to stay alive.

Satasha Boss 3, what's the deal with tentacle and arms? Which one that has to be killed first? they keep respawning and it's a total nightmare to heal when you party members are all over the place and AOE heals don't even reach them. Melee DPS are having a hard time getting near the boss.

Three; Ignore tentacle, take out the arms and then focus the boss. Rinse repeat.

I'd say kill everything and then attack boss (unless DPS is too low) having tentacles stunning you every often is annoying.

They only stun you if you get near them, its honestly a waste of time to kill them. Just need to be aware of your surroundings.

I don't particularly find any of the new HM bosses hard. They're just massive HP walls with annoying gimmicks (mechanics) that keep them alive for longer than they deserve to be, it's not really a question of wiping so much as it is "Wow this fight should've been over 5 minutes ago". Worst offender is the Kraken in Sastasha.

Sastasha Boss 1- Remove debuffs as they are placed, have tank stun when he uses the OHKO/Near OHKO move (Forget the name, but it's telegraphed). Other than that tank and spank.

Boss 2 - Kill adds as soon as they spawn, the longer the adds stay alive the longer he shoots = more damage (Or something?). Adds themselves are non-threat, they die fast and do little damage. Surviving the boss's shots is the only issue.

Satasha Boss 3 - I always just kill the arms, leave the tentacles. If you leave too many arms/tentacles alive you get hit by multiple water vortexes that explode and wipe you. This boss is just really annoying tbh. Walking near the tentacles to DPS them as tank or melee results in getting thrown/stunned into one of the Kraken's frontal AoEs.
