Lag issue related to FFXI account not computer or ISP - 90k and lag

I have been experiencing lag issues for nearly 2 weeks now. Let me give you the TLDR that points me to this being an issue on SE side.

    Wife's account = no lag
    My account = lag

    Lag occurs:
-When I use my account on my computer
-When I use my account on my wife's computer

    No Lag Occurs:
-When I use my wifes account on my computer
-When I use my wifes account on my wife's computer

So the under the same conditions, my account gets lag and her's doesn't. Also, when we play at the exact same time, no lag issues for my wife, non stop issues for me.

    What's happening?

Basically the game is rubberbanding on me. Everything in the game will pause for various lengths of time and then quickly catch up to where every action happens at once and catches up to where it was supposed to be. I've also been getting 90k issues every say 15 minutes or so.

Note:The weird part about this is that my character does NOT pause, and I can continue taking actions without issues. Those actions DO get sent to the server and take place. So on my screen the enemies and other people are not moving, they are telling me on mumble they can see me moving and casting flash.

This appears to be a connection related issue on the "Receiving" side for the client (send for the server side). The client is sending data to the server properly, but the server is not sending it back properly for some reason.

Since no one will believe me...

    Basic setup:

Both computers use wired connections to an Asus RT-N56U.

Here are the things I tried when I thought the issue was tied to my computer:

    -Reset modem and router
-Plug the cable into a different port on router
-Replaced the network cable with a known good cable
    -Updated drivers on network cards
-Ran tracert on both computers to Sargatanas server IP. Both routes identical and in fact my computer had lower ms times.
-Fresh install of Windows and FFXIV
    -Bought a new network card
-Reseated every card/connection inside my computer
-Installed an older video card driver, just in case.
-Removed video card from computer and played with onboard video card.
-Disconnected all other drives except the SSD that has windows and ffxiv on it.
    -Updated firmware on SSD

At this point I was stumped and the lag still occurred every time. Then someone suggested I just try logging in my account on my wife's computer (that had no lag issues). It lagged!. After saying "WTF?" we tried logging my wife's account into my computer and NO LAG!. Again "Wtf?".

So at this point, the only thing I can think of, is that there is an issue with my account directly. I saw another forum post with a guy who's getting 90k's and the same type of lag. Everyone is blaming the ISP, but I'm starting to wonder if he's got the same problem I do.

This is the exact same problem my wife and I are having.

3 days ago if she logged on with her account on either my computer or hers, she would get lag, rubber banding, and 90k errors as soon as she logged in.
If I logged in on either my computer or hers, everything was fine.

Now today the situation is reversed. She can log on fine on any computer but my account gets 90k and rubber banding as soon as I log in.

It is very strange because I've never heard of account specific disconnects. I'm hoping this is something that gets cleared up soon cause it is a really strange one.

When you say you traced to your server... are you using an IP you got from a website, or are you using the IP your client is actually using when logged fully into the game (can run netstat or resmon to find the IP.. Canadian servers start with 199)? This IP can vary widely per server, and differ amongst separate accounts even if they were generated from the same location on the same server. So, you need to extend this to each account...it is possible you could be coming into the cluster on different IP's within the cluster. This could be a very important piece of information for troubleshooting, as it could be something within the virtual devices at play.

By the same token, it could be important to get the port assignments (local and remote) for the connections as well (this can also be discerned from netstat or resmon as well). These can be "bonded" to your account or character data, so logging into a different system at the same endpoint won't necessarily change anything beyond what might be different locally between the two systems or your local network configuration (port forwarding and such).

Oh, and if you set up port-forwarding in the router, try undoing it and letting NAT handle the direction of the data. Sometimes it really is that simple when you are running on multiple platforms.

Once you have all the particulars about the IP's and port assignments in use, open a formal ticket with both SE and your ISP's Tier3 support (not the guys that answer the phone or come check your cables--you NEED tier3 support involved), providing the IP's, port ID's, and tracerts to each IP address so they can conduct a proper investigation.

I lol'd at updating SSD firmware. Easy fix, get a new account and try it out on either machine.

Hello. Im having this exact same issue since updating to 2.4. My wife and I have separate PS4 systems on the same network. Both machines updated to 2.4 and updated the PS4 software to 2.0 in the same day. I bought a private estate with my account after 2.4 update, dropped the house on it, choco stable, garden, aetheryte and striking dummy. Thats all i did in new patch.

My account has horrendous lag issues, its unplayable. In populated areas the character will port in, and there will be no character model for about 40 seconds but I can navigate around. Eventually the character model will finally port in, some 40 seconds later.

Logged into my wifes account from her PS4, and her account is totally normal. Logged into my account from her PS4 and my account still has the crazy lag. Logged into her account on my PS4 and her account is fine. And my account on my PS4 is really bad lag. I have no idea why.

Have turned off all devices connected to the network and just used a single PS4 to test both accounts, with the same results. Her account fine, mine horrible lag issues.

Not sure if this is related to the housing purchase or what. Everything seemed fine when first updating to 2.4. After the house purchase and logging in again 6 hours later, it was broken.
