    Of Men They Sing

    So I recently finish the R42 main quest and had a question. At one point, my companion made the comment that the mobs "have something odd around their legs. I wonder..."

    After killing them, I noticed there was a sparkling ??? item on the ground, but I didn't have a chance to interact with it before the cutscene started. Afterwards, there aren't any references to what it might have been. I hate feeling like I missed something, so does anyone know what it was? I finished the quest just fine, but was that ??? important in any other way?

    No one else wondered this? I've checked the various Youtube videos people have posted of running the quest, but no one has ever examined the ??? on the ground while fighting the wolves.
