Also, just because its a faster paced attack doesn't mean you can't skill chain, it's not like you are bleeding tp. Real ffxi merit party veterans just use weaponskill right after they see a teammate go, and mages just magic burst as soon as they see the first guy go, sometimes throw in 2 magic bursts. Skillchains are used in very early levels in ffxi, which really eases the pain of grinding. I have grinded 18 hours straight with the same party several times without much of a problem. In ffxiv, grinding for like 3 hours feels like 8 hours, and get sleepy fast. The lack of auto attack also makes people talk less and cannot voice out what they want to do, that's why people get stuck in battle regimen, simply because you'll have to put down the controller to chat and that stops you from doing actions that could get your party killed.
