They must look up to Blizzard; the prices are pretty competitive.
PS3 limitations
Funny to see someone who isn't even paying for the game themselves complain about pricing of anything. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Wow.Fixed that for you, since its a REAL world service that hosts a game.
And despite your assumption... I dont pay for my sub... its a gift.
If you want to line SE's pockets this way, then enjoy.
Still a shame people think this is an ok thing though, but SE is laughing all the way to the bank.
You're a really bitter person, lol. Also, it's still a fake virtual reality. You're not proving me wrong by stating the server itself is real, because everything in the actual game is fake. The minions and such from the CS are also in the servers btw, just like everything else.Fixed that for you, since its a REAL world service that hosts a game.

And even if you you aren't paying for it, I don't see you insulting the person paying for you or others that are paying the monthly fee for the game in which nothing is tangible... pretty hypocritical of you.
Oh and while you may not be spending money to play apparently, time has just as much value as money as far as I'm concerned. You only have a limited amount of time in a day and you're obviously spending quite a bit of time leveling all of those intangible level 50 class/jobs. So...

Anyway, you don't seem to understand that the nature of the "service" is irrelevant. The only thing you are paying for, in the end, is a service which provides you emotions. You are buying emotions.
Buying a virtual black horse to be able to ride it and jump around like an idiot in Mor Dhona to show people how awesome you are is a service giving you emotions.
Just like going to the movies. You are not paying just for the sake of sitting in a seat. You are paying to have emotions.
Emotions are valuable and, again, the whole entertainment industry is based on that.

Please explain why RMT thrives to this day if virtual items have no monetary value. Please explain how ppl sell and resell entire accounts if what you're paying for has no monetary value. Everything has monetary value. It may not have any for you, but it doesn't mean that value doesn't exist. Whether its tangible or not makes no difference. People pay for an experience, and if Sleipnir is that experience for them, I don't see the problem. Its pretty difficult to make a sweeping generalization about what is/is not worth $$ spent.
I don't think the poster understands this. He or she believes we are buying things like a hardcore copy of halo just to have, when in truth, we are really paying for the experience we get from playing Halo or any game.Fixed that for you.

The $5 minions seem very reasonable (I bought two). In any case it's very much in line with what I'm used to paying for costumes, gun skins, etc. in console games.
$24 for the mount seems crazy to me though. That just seems like so much for one piece of cosmetic DLC. I'm told it's in line with prices in other MMOs. And hey, if it's worth the cost to someone else, more power to them. I can't imagine paying it though.
Just wanted to point out that I gave you a little thumbs up for the underlined sentence. While I personally think it's worth the money, I really like that you see it as a subjective opinion and you don't criticize or belittle us for it. c:The $5 minions seem very reasonable (I bought two). *hands you a cookie of appreciation*
24 is reasonable?
What other P2P games has this pricing?
On F2P TERA, for a sure enough piggy mount, it's only 15 bucks.
A cool wolf one is 20.
One of the best mounts free, just by loggin' daily and probably events leads up to a cool black duck mount.
The new Police car is about $15. The rest is costy because is locked to account and not character.
This is a lot people...
