I was looking over the new hairstyles in the character creation screen (since I can't log in yet -_-) and noticed that the Rogue class wasn't available for creation. I hadn't even planned on playing one (yet), but it did catch my eye. Are these just not playable from the get-go and have to be unlocked in-game, or is it a post-patch error?

Have to be unlocked by completing at least up Level 10 in Pugilist class quests. Then begin Rogue quest in Limsa.

I wasn't aware that PUG was a requirement to get it unlocked. I was under the impression that level a class to 10, then you could travel to unlock it, as with any other class.
RGE is NOT however a starting class.

Well, you actually just need to unlock the Armoury system, which is still level 10. Level 15 if you started as a non-Lominsan class due to story lock-outs (damnable airship pass). Pugilist will make it 'easier' later on if you don't mind waiting till level 15.

You can get to Limsa before level 15, by having someone physically take you there or joining an FC with a house in the Mist.

You can't be teleported to the Mist until you unlock access to the Mist. Which is a lv5 quest in Lower La Noscea.

Ferry to Limsa doesn't work until you get airship pass (why even...);

Can't get to Vylbrand at all until you do the lv14 Envoy main scenario quests unless you're created in Limsa.
