Actually both ideas are good. I like the debuff a little more though. The skills are a good idea if they have a really long cooldown. I'm talking like, two minutes or more. That way they can't be used in a regular rotation, but they'd be a nice little bonus when they were available.

For that mechanic, it would be interesting to see if any of the FCoB bosses will have it. Typically in Final Fantasy series, this horrendous skill used by bosses is called "Heartless Angel"![]()



So.. 6 'FF' games have it (of which two games are from the FFVII series and 2 games are from the Dissidia series - so technically only 4 games, but then you realize that in 3 of those 6 games the character with the skill is SEPHIROTH, so only 3 unique bosses - also I'm not counting those other two mobile games... Oh, and also, the English version of FFVI called it 'Fallen One') and that means 'Typically' in FF series? Sorry, you still fail to be accurate. More games have a skill that does this that ISN'T called Heartless Angel than otherwise.

Question is, why not? Either it requires an immediate stun/silence or a pre-cast AoE heal to be prepared to prevent tank/raid death.
Nael's Megaflare hits pretty hard during initial progression but there is a long break before the next damage comes in. Maybe if whole party reduced to 1HP with the next damage coming within the next few seconds would make it more exciting.


Well it first appeared in FFVI but it later became the signature move of Sephiroth. Bhunivelze in FFXIII have this skill too.
But yeah, maybe Louisiox will have such 1HP skill?![]()
Not to be "that" person, but WoW has an ability (I know of only one at least) that does something like this. The Death Knight's Soul Reaper ability, you appy it and it sticks a 5s debuff, if they die within that 5s the Death Knight gets a 3s 5% haste and movespeed boost, if they don't the debuff wearing off the enemy while it's still alive causes them to take X amount of damage.
Is that something along the lines of what you were thinking?
