    DoL melding guide (looking for feedback)

    So, my FC wanted me to write up a guide about how to meld their gathering classes effectively. Especially now with 2.4 going live in a few hours, the crafters-turned-gatherers of the FC wanted to start with a good foundation. I thought I'd share what I have now, which is pretty much a compilation of personal research and information hunting for the last six months.

    This is not the final form of the guide (given that I still have to deplete the HP a bit more), but a quick chart- and list-heavy summary I put together last night. I hope to have the final write up and editing passes done by the time the servers go back up, but I'd like some feedback even now.

    What can I make better? Any information that is completely wrong or gives an incorrect expectation?

    Seems pretty on point. My only suggestion, and I suppose it's just a personal preference, is that I like to use a Gathering +5 and Perception +4 on hand slots so that I only have to overmeld a gathering +3 instead of a +4. But with the randomness of it all I suppose you could go either way.

    Seems okie dokie, probably would have been better to wait til tomorrow cos of new gear n all but well done.

    If the guide is meant for FSH also, can I suggest yu add the info about i70 accessories taking +5 G&P each? This was a huuuge factor for me doing the Silver Sovereign quest, a few posts here in the DoL forum about it if yu search.

    Your second rotation can be tweaked slightly to get under the 600 gp cap Drops the requirement to 585

    in the rotation I posted you don't need the 600 GP to start with so you aren't required to meld as much onto your gear so you can get started earlier. If your going to just use it at the start then there is no difference between the 2. But remember you get 5GP back every time you hit.

    wow I've been levelling my BTN and been quite worried as to where to head once I hit level 50 but your guide really put things into proper perspectives. Now I am just monitoring the market board for some reasonable pricings on the HQ artifact gears

    Here is a rotation that works well for me. Need at least 630gp (600 + hq dremzal gratin) gather/unearth 2/sharp vision/gather/gather/gather/solid reason (gp should be back up to 300 w/ no misses)
    /deep vigor/gather/hq gather. Usually get 2-3 hq gathers in this rotation. Produces hq rate of 30-37% and gathering of 95-100% depending on melds/gear.
