    Militia Bracelets: stealth nerf?

As of 11/1 (presumably since 2.4, I only just noticed) my Militia Bracelets, previous melded to +10 GP, now have only +8. (Grasp IV and two Grasp III, with the second only providing 1 GP)

I don't recall seeing this in the patch notes, but if it's here to stay it's kinda BS, mine aren't fully melded, and it will be much more expensive trying to add gathering/perception as 4th and 5th melds than 3rd and 4th?

If I've interpreted it correctly: in the case of militia bracelets, they used to HQ for 43 GP, but with data recalculation from the 2.4 patch, they now HQ at 45 GP. The GP cap is still 53, meaning that the materia benefit shifted from +10 to +8, accounting for my missing 2. They said they're going to REVERT(/fix) that, so HQ militia bracelets should go back to being 43 GP with +10 possible. If so, then that's fine, I'll just wait for the fix. Thanks!

So if you have HQ militia bracelets, the error causes it to have a higher stat, which in turn reduces the materia stat. If you have ever melded any gear, if you try to attach a too high level of materia to an item that has too low a level cap, then the materia modifier will be reduced to the cap for the item, usually indicated by the materia modifier showing up as red. Instead of a +4 in GP it shos up as +3, or lower

Noticed after the update, there were a couple of pieces like that. Shirt and gloves did the same. Of course, it was only a piece of grasp I in the 4th slot (3rd over meld) on both the miner and botanist. Instead of a 1, it gives me a zero, but the stats stayed the same. Oh well, the gear is max melded anyway, so it's moot.

now people are complaining about higher base stats, which allow easier melding.....

I lost GP after the patch. It's only 2 points, but I would have thought that the melds I did would have brought it back to where it was. Oh well, 636, 638. Nothing mind blowing.
