Returned after 10 months - Want to transfer to a new world but can't (Too much gil).

I've recently returned to FFXIV and now I want to swich to a more populated world.

SE has some really harsh gil restrictions when it comes to transfering to a new world. You can only transfer a character with 1mil gil or less.

My problem is that I have more than 11mil (Yes I spent most of the first month in the reborn Eorzea gathering / farming to make Gil) and I don't want to lose all that hard work. So I was thinking of investing it in items / plots and then transfer to the new World and simply sell what I had bought. This leaves me with some questions

Can i transfer my character when I own land? If yes, how does it work? (Kinda learning towards a no but who knows...)

What items should I invest in if I chose to spend my Gil on items and then reselling them on the new world?

Do I have any other options if I want to get most of the Gil with me?

Create a temporary personage in the target world and check msrket board. Don't forget to examine both sale prices and sale history. Then (or before) do the same in your current world.
In most cases you can buy some kinds of materia and garden seeds, but don't forget to compare prices

There are a few individuals out there who collect those allagan gold and etc. You can also stock pile Clear Demimateria as you can directly vendor them for specific amounts.

Your best option was as stated above make an alt on the world you want to go to, check the market board there and the market board on your current server, look for items that you can buy for a lower price on your server and sell for a higher amount on the new one, thus you will not only transfer your gil but make extra on top. Something like a Nutkin minion or otherwise would allow you to trade a large chunk of gil in a shorter period of time but incurs a lot more risk of losing gil too. In my opinion the safest way to turn your gil to another server is try and buy all the allagan pieces off the marketboard at as close to trade in to npc prices as possible atleast that way when you hop server you can instantly dump them to npc's to get a high percentage of your gil back without any extra market risk.

Hmm, but Moogle is quite well populated, you should see S hunts or Odin. Unless you play at night/morning. But if you really want to transfer Firepower's advice is the best.

Perhaps i should have made it more clear why i want to transfer. Back when I quit it was hard finding a regular / pug group to raid with. It seemed and still seems like the most active raiders on Moogle are french. I have absolutely nothingagainst the french, i just don't speak the language.

But... I guess things might have changed?

There still are quite a lot of French people here, but I mostly see shouts in English. I can not speak about end game raids unfortunately, since I do not participate in them.

ust buy the allagan gold quest reward thingies then sell them once u change worlds :3

my suggestion is to buy the allagan pieces, they have them for 10k gil, stacks to 99. I know i've seen them on my market board on Leviathan.
