I can't say anything about the rest of thew post without starting an endless discussion, but about this... You can just ask in game, most people is not finding these fight difficult, the majority is just ignoring them, because, they hear it's hard and they don't even try, or they know how annoying can be to find a good party to learn these contents at a late time.

The fact that this content has to be learned makes give a false feeling of difficulty and excludes some players, it doesn't matter if it is good or bad for you or me, it's just bad for a game that by its actual producer had as goal allowing casual, hardcore, and new players to play together.

I don't have to ask in game. I've seen it first hand for a whole year. I've been on countless parties in df or pf. I know very well how difficult these fights are for the average player, or even for me. Trying to beat Garuda extreme, as a tank for the first time has been one of the most nerve-racking experiences I had in a game and I've played all kind of games since ages ago. And I enjoyed it.

And what after you finally cleared it? difficult content remains difficult forever or until you're very overgeared to clear it by brute force. Seems like we differ a lot on this matter, all i can say is i can't consider something difficult, interesting or even good for the community, when you can just farm it after the first perfect clear.

Not a single game remains difficult forever. They're games, they have a set of rules which the player will eventually master. The more you play a game the better you become on it till eventually you understand how everything works inside out. It's actually what makes games appealing. Seeing yourself slowly progress and becoming better at it. Starting as a complete noob, going through hell and being able to beat it after a while without a problem.
Games that remain difficult forever are pvp games, where the opponent is another human which learns at the same rate or faster than you.

You don't even have to look at games to know that is false. Long division is 'hard' until...physics is hard until...engineering is hard until...ice skating is hard until...Once you learn something, it ceases to be hard. To you. Perceived difficulty is what you get when you consider how long it takes people to learn the content and considering this last week I carried people through primals and got someone who had their Nexus a T5 first time clear, I'd say for the average player, the game is difficult.

There are varying levels of difficulty as well, it's not a switch from hard to not hard. A game doesn't have to be I Wanna Be The Guy to be considered 'hard.'

    This is so true.

This kind of thinking is utter nonsense. Is Fermat's last theorem hard? Valid proof was finally accepted in 2007. Did it all of sudden switch to not hard? How about P vs NP?

It is so easy for people to take things for granted. The challenge of flight and space flight are both really hard problem, but people will take flying clear across the globe for granted and be vastly awed by a quick trip to border of space per the X prize. So are these hard problems?

The thing about any PvE game is that they are all like math problems. Once the solution is figured out you can always program a computer to execute that solution flawlessly. The question remains is whether requiring human players to flawlessly execute like a computer in order for that to be considered hard. I doubt seriously SE is looking to build a game where only the select few players that can execute the solution like a computer is considered good enough. And I can bet few player with the exception of select few will find executing to that degree of flawlessness take too much repetition and practice and get bored with it long before that point.

Recall commercial flight is boring and passe and it only become a point of fascination when you lose one to the middle Indian ocean i.e. MH370 . And the appeal of flight simulation game is to get mastery so you don't make any mistakes (.e.g lose a plane in the Indian ocean) and see how limited that market is. I got several RC flight simulators to help myself train RC helicopter flying and you need to practice until you are flawless, because wrecking a real RC helicopter is both very expensive and very time consuming to rebuild, but you will be bored to tears to get that mastery. I seriously doubt SE is looking to make a game that inaccessible for a large player base.
