Odin Server Scout

Hi everyone, im thinking on changing server and Odin was first on my list cause ive met lots of good people there in DF .

So my questions are:

1- How is the movement on that server, lots of people always online, lots of party finders, etc or am i wrong?

2 and last - Does the most used language is english or its crawling it german party finders only german like in Shiva ?

PS: i have nothing against germans, just i dont understand a single word and bugs me to see that much german writting everywhere all day. Asides that love you all

I'm on Odin and love it.
1. Yeah lots of people online, always see people in all zones. Lots of PFs up.
2. English is the most used language. Always used in shout etc.

There's a good deal of activity in party finder as well as within zones (hunts). The most commonly used language in public chat, shout, etc remains English. Occasionally there are some foreign language guild advertisements being done. German, French, Spanish and Finish from as far as I can tell.

Overall it's a good server with a generally very friendly community. Most certainly one of the best I've encountered in MMO's in years.

Well, the question you need to ask yourself: Do I want to play on an EU or US server? Because Odin is EU and Sargatanas is US.

I am on Odin and I always find it to be very active, and English is indeed the most commonly used language. There are some German/French speaking FCs but they mostly keep to theirselves and 90% of them still speak/understand English (be it very little, but enough to converse with them). The PF on Odin is always very full (Especially during peak hours, 20+ parties on there) and there are alot of FCs, from very casual to quite hardcore. The only thing I dislike about Odin is the (extremely) unstable marketprices. But that might be the case on every server...

Well, the question you need to ask yourself: Do I want to play on an EU or US server? Because Odin is EU and Sargatanas is US.

Also, @ the OP, your best bet is actually to create a new character on the realm you are trying to scout (Name it for the character transferring so you will know if you will need to name change also) and ask around various zones. You will get a better feel for the server by speaking directly to the people who live there.

Sargatanas is a pretty heavily populated server. There's pretty much always something going on in PF. If you put up a PF of your own, it usually doesn't take any more than a few minutes to fill (depending on what it's for, anyway; first coil parties can take awhile). The only time I have problems finding people is during off-peak hours.

English is the predominant language, though you will occasionally see Russian in shouts (FC advertisements).
