anyone else have really slow DL on this patch?
because in some smaller areas (like mine in germany) you can only get shitty connections, there are no fibers etcI really don't get all the crappy internet speeds...I can get 17Mb/s on my cell phone...100ms ping sure...but that's faster over the air then you guys are getting through your wired connections. That makes 0 sense. Even if I speedtest on 3G instead of LTE with two bars of signal (checking from my basement), I can get 2Mb/s or better.![]()

It's simple really. Most people in this thread are getting the gigantic rip off because of these ISP companies being stingy and throttling speeds, but marking up the price to insane heights because they know there's no other option in the area. Availability is also key. It's one thing to have a type of ISP speed, but another to have it available in one's area. It's because of these things is why I'm happy for the current ongoing Gigabit internet war that Google initially started. If not for Google showing up Time Warner, Comcast and the rest up with Google Fiber's potential, a lot of people would still be getting the squeeze right now.I really don't get all the crappy internet speeds...I can get 17Mb/s on my cell phone...100ms ping sure...but that's faster over the air then you guys are getting through your wired connections. This my land connection BTW.
This war will still rage on for another 2-5 years, but it's a good thing nonetheless. We need a good paradigm shift in the telecommunications area. Look at these various speeds and then consider the fact that some places like Hong Kong and Japan have 50~60 Mb/s as an average peak speed.

Move to Sweden, where we can get 1Gbit/sec, for 118$/month, or 100Mbit, for under 40$
I'm getting 2MB/s (16Mb/s). So the download is going at about 1/4 of my actual internet speed. Fair enough for a heavily trafficked connection.
OK - this is geting BAD now! I need to update:
- Game launcher
- Game itself (both on PS4, "backup" PS3 - in case today's PS4 firmware goes bad - and PC - in case PSN goes bad)
- PS4 system / firmware as it's cleverly scheduled for today as well (and still also not live!)
- Vita system / firmware as it's cleverly scheduled for today too (need this to be able to access PS4 / game via remote play as I need to leave house just the moment the maintenance should have been over - they've really screwed me over by extending it by hour, gah!)
If all above will faill I'd need to grab one of my office laptops, download the patch quickly and then go to "bathroom" for a couple of minutes to tend tend the gardens and try to grab the house.
In case of quadruple failure I'll just sit quietly in the corner and cry for all the lsot crops and house ...
EDIT:
PHEW! Just as I've posted this the patch went live - one relieve. 9 minutes to download on first device ...

Oh, everyone's jumping on the download train! My DL speed just dropped to 1.23MB/s. lol About 17 minutes.
