I experimented with MNK for a little while (got it up to ilvl 80) a few months ago. What some people fail to realize is that you get accustomed to the positional requirements as you're leveling up the class/job, so by the time you hit lvl 50, everything is second nature. The only reason I stopped playing it is because my hands began to hurt after playing for a few hours straight on a small PS3 controller. With Ninja being position-dependent AND me now having a PS4, which feels a lot better in my hands, I'll be making a return to melee DPS when I'm focused, and SMN/BLM when I feel lazy and just want to sit back and pew pew stuff.

All have their own difficulties, it's not that bard and casters can faceroll to get max dps. Casters, and especially BLM have to deal with cast timers and "dps on the move" problem that requires skill and some practice to not be impaired by a lot during movement heavy fight. Bards have their priority system for dps and it really digs into attention making it quite hard on mechanics heavy fights.
