Chocobo didn't level after eating Thavnarian Onion

Hello! I would like to report a bug regarding the level of my Chocobo. I fed my bird Thavnarian Onion expecting him to grow to 12 but he didn't increase in level and still retained his current level 11 It also won't let me train him with krakka roots or any other food afterwards. Kindly refer to attached image.

Please help me remedy this bug. Thavnarian onions are really time-consuming to grow. I contacted support in game but noone responded so I'm posting here..Pls help!!
