New player with some questions

Hello, I just got the game for PS4 and will be starting soon. Is there a place to find where Free Company are recruiting and new player friendly?
Is it better to choose an older higher population server being new? I would appreciate any suggestions for server choice. I\\'m on west coast USA PST
I will be using a keyboard for chat, is there a particular one that the PS4 players have good success with? Preferably wired
Lastly, I will be subbing long term and would like to find an experienced player to send me recruitment email with code who doesn\\'t mind helping a new player occasionally. Hopefully someone in that new player friendly free company

I am on the Hyperion server and my FC is recruiting (we are not really big, mainly friends and family at the moment) Hyperion is a High Population server. I have heard good things of people being on the PS4 with controller. I enjoy helping others out. I can check later tonight to see if I can send you a code.

i'm on behemoth, and our FC is always recruiting. They've VERY newbie friendly.
I play on PS4 on controller too, i love it.
I can see you a recruitment code, i would just need your email.

As for keyboard, I'm using a standard default run-of-the-mill Dell keyboard and it works just fine on the PS4. I don't use the controller though. I have a Logitech G600 mouse I use instead.

playing on the ps4 controller is a hard thing to do and get used to i know my self. i know for a fact you are limited when you use it,so once you feel it is 100% needed go to a bestbuy or something and drop 20 bucks each on a usb mouse and usb keyboard then use them.

if you have any questions feel free to ask me.I do not know much about 14 but it is not that fair off on the basic level from 11 so most of the commands and things like that are the same things that are a must easily are the same.

also if your looking to join a free company i think there is a free company counter in the game.

The Phoenix server is a good one to join as it's one of the most pop ones ^^ I run a FC and we have a few new peopel in there along with more exp players that like to help out new players. So your more then welcome to join \o just send me a in tell if you do join on Phoenix.

@kawar I don't think the PS4 controller is limited as you think If you set up the options right and know what to do the PS4 controller is quite expansive. I'll upload a video to show ye.

If length of the cord isn't an issue, then any USB keyboard for PCs should work, but I use this one. Logitech branded this one as designed for PS3, which basically just means they gave it a longer USB cord (8 feet) to make it more suitable for TV-to-couch distances. Other than that, it's a standard keyboard like you'd use with a PC, and it works well with both PS3 and PS4. (I've used it on both.)

And yes, you will want a keyboard for chat. The controller set up is really well done for everything else, but not for typing. Even a lot of PC players prefer the console pattern of using the keyboard for chat, but a controller for everything else.

I use this and while it is wireless you just plug in the receiver to the ps4,it has an on/off button, it is compact, and cheap. Works great just for chatting.
