    Gathering Fatigue Alternative

I'm sorry, I know this is my second thread revolving around the hidden gathering fatigue system. It's just the one major wall in this game that greatly ruins my perception of fun, and I'm desperate to see a better solution for it.

I understand the importance of RMT and bot prevention. However, after just a few leves the game forces me to log off and do something else in my life while the RMT just relog onto their next character and continue on. While you can never prevent RMT from having an army of bodies to cycle through, as is the nature of the beast, I feel like as a future paying customer I'm being increasingly punished for wanting to actually play the game.

All the other classes were opened up to free will, crafters can pretty much spam endlessly to their hearts content if they should so please. But gatherers must wait 25 hours to even have a chance to gain SP again... I just hope you can understand my lament.

Rather than just having complete misses with 0 SP yeilds, or complete lock down, I'd like to see a system where in after you've exhausted your typical loot pools from a node you are instead shifted over into a new set. This "fatigued" loot pool would consist of a junk item that only sells for 1 gil to NPC venders and serves no purpose otherwise in the game. Possibly with a low stack quantity. Such as an old boot from fishing, or a twig from botany.

This way, if you're a legitimate player whom only has the desire to go level your favorite class, you're not hindered by doing so. Since you're still getting an item the appropriate level to the node and thus gaining SP for your efforts, but the item received has no value in itself. It would open up the strategy of whether you wish to grind for SP or hunt for valued treasures, or a little of both depending on how you want to play. Not the current system of, you can level a bit but then not for a while, or only sporadically.

    Thank you for reading.

This idea is much better than what we currently have.

yes I agree I came up with this solution back when the game was released when I made the community named gathering fatigue thread. Make pebbles from mining, twigs from botany and buckets and old boots from fishing, that way the only thing you hamper is RMT and an influx of items into the market which is the whole point in the fatigue system.

Wow so this still goes on for Botanist, Miners and Fishers? I know it sounds dumb to ask but I just got back and I thought they removed the fatigue system entirely. I haven't mined as much as I use to but will be more aggressive as time goes by and this would be bleecchhh ... /sigh

people make it to be ALOT worse then it really is still too

i get 20-25k sp an hour grinding at 49-50
thats alot of damn sp if you ask me, so in 4 -5 hours of grinding without hitting fatigue, thats the final level....
thats not counting that 6 rank 40 leves, give you about 40k sp each 36 hours also(and leves are 100% unaffected by fatigue)

so it goes down to 12-13k if im fatigued...i dont see why thats so hard

also add in the fat that your fatigue practicaly resets DAILY

i dont know about anyone else, but i dont want junk items, i gather to get items(and scondary to that i level with it) but i dont want to get more trash items dropping to me to clutter my inventory that i have to spend time at a vendor dropping off or just dropping as i get it

this thread is another "i want to level faster even though its already pretty fast" thread unfortunately, and i can never back these up

I agree since the last patch this is alot better since the sp gained has improved significantly so you can level 43+ alot easier. But I dont see this being a bad thing, if you hit the fatigue you stop getting items anyway, so anyone that just wants items are surely going to stop anyway, so they wont be getting the trash drops, so your point is moot vedis.
