It's pure RNG. RANDOM. The drop rate is getting buffed in two days. You can wait two days.

people just love to think they can control luck. Even when the devs themselves announce that it's just pure luck.
Superstition is sad. Sad and bad for mental health
Just so you know OP, I got my first set of atma in 3 days with 16 hours straight in horizon, when my 2nd set of atma took me 2 hours and half total. You can burn our so called theory.
and just because I love to call BS on superstition, here is why that theory is crap :
The time appears to be local time, not server or Eorzea time.=> Even if there were a time condition or anything like that, it would have been eorzean time or server time. Anyway, I don't see why the devs would have been all the trouble making shitty time conditions when they say themselves that playing too much isn't recommended. There is also a cap of sorts that limits you to a maximum of 4 Atma every 12 hours.
=> A cap ? A cap ? this is totally dumb. There is no such thing. If you don't trust me on my 2.5 hours set (can't blame you, I'm just an internet random after all), maybe you could refer to the atma challenge during the anniversary event, where they got 10 or 11 atmas in 14 hours.
