If u notice, the OP stated he used macros at least to hit mercy stroke / (the bard executed skill, forget the name) on every action he has.
And all i have to say is....

Sorry yeah not been on BLM in a while, I have t1 and t2 on a macro and t3 separate for thunder procs.Even that is still a dps loss, although a very small one since it's only one macro in your rotation rather than everything being a macro. I'd either stick to T1 or T2 (there's not much difference dps wise in which you use) or learn the MP amounts that enable you to cast either.
But I still don't see how its a DPS loss, its not about remember mp its about saving space and time, if I can get the same effect from 2 spells on one button than 2 separate buttons when I'm limited on space I'd rather do that. All it does is queue up the one it has the ability to do.
Because the choice between using Thunder 1 and Thunder 2 is dependent on whether you go for 251 Piety or not. If below 251 Piety, use Thunder 1. If at 251, use Thunder 2. There's never a need to have both Thunder 1 and Thunder 2 available to you. Combine that with the skill queueing issue that macros cause, and it's a DPS loss simply because you cast it a fraction of a second later. But I still don't see how its a DPS loss, its not about remember mp its about saving space and time, if I can get the same effect from 2 spells on one button than 2 separate buttons when I'm limited on space I'd rather do that. Really only matters to people who like to min/max. Not a big enough deal otherwise, but it's still, objectively, a DPS loss.
Initial FireIII coming out of UI was 0 mp due to firestarter, you now have enough mp for TII at the end rather than TI. Happens almost 30% of the time if you are under 251 PIE.
You're right. I was just thinking in more general terms. Having a 30% chance to have enough MP for T2 at the end of your Fire phase doesn't make up for how clunky a macro makes skill usage feel, in my opinion, especially with how small a DPS increase it is to use T2 over T1.

Who macros GCD skills. Seriously. EPIC BAD. Thank God I'm not even in the same server group because I'd be taking a penalty anytime I see OP in my DF.
You could always find your 'MACRO' file, copy it, remove it, then make all the new macros you will need for NIN. Copy the new file, and now u have more macro space. But if you're so lazy you need 93 macros (plus more for NIN) I seriously doubt you will take the time to do this.
I don't always pug, but when i do, it's with Pretty Ugly Guys
