I agree that he has macroed too much, but sometime when I'm just farming/leveling whilst watching a movie or something I like to use a 5-6 ability macro. Ofcourse I'd never use that macro when doing a group activity. What I wanted to say is that long macros shouldn't be frowned upon all the time, sometime it's nice to be a tad lazy.

People keep forgetting the mark of a good troll is to start the fire then sit back and watch it burn; this guy's posting in this thread as much as anyone else here. So he's a bad troll if he's trolling, and if not he's just...bad. Oh well. Macros are all client side anyway so the request is "reasonable" enough; it wouldn't strain anything on SE's side at all to give 100 times the macro space we currently have.

And maybe we've had bad players like this all along and nin's just the first job to really make em stand out?

yeah that's why I said if used effectively.
Wait commands on abilities just don't work, putting Thunder 1, 2 and 3 under one macro, so it pops the one you have the mp to use works.

Even that is still a dps loss, although a very small one since it's only one macro in your rotation rather than everything being a macro. I'd either stick to T1 or T2 (there's not much difference dps wise in which you use) or learn the MP amounts that enable you to cast either.

I have been playing since 1.0 and find it crazy that anyone could possibly have this many macros.

My thoughts are this is a guy who has some sort of sound effect and dialog for every single thing he does. Which is why I tend to play with sounds on mute. The sound effect abuse in mmo's can get way to out of hand, which is sad since I genuinely enjoy the music. But I don't need to listen to 6+ sound effects and lines of dialog just because you want to cast cure.

Best example is in xi when someone had all their spells macro'd with not /p but /s and each time they cast cure it read something like "By the graceful light of altana I summon the forces of light and purity to cleanse thee of thy wounds and ease thee of thy suffering. Blessed be Altana"

That's just a good way to get blisted by an entire server and taking trolling to a whole new extreme.

Also why I wish SE would introduce a temp blist option for ppl you are grouped with in instances. Content like ST is particularly bad.
